What an entertaining group of USA guests on our Taste Auckland food tour today.
What’s an ‘igg’ one asked when I was talking about NZ’s poultry industry.
Ha we said? Translation: eggs
And what’s a Kiwi taste like?
Double Ha? Translation: The fruit. 🥝
Two things we all loved? The tender, flavoursome lamb tagine and being taste testers for the upcoming Valentines Day treats

What a fab, fun group from Fullerton Uni, LA yesterday - here in NZ on a gender-studies trip. What better way to experience than with a wahine-lead tourism business like ours?
Here since 29 Dec, they are worried about the devastating fires impacting their own city, so we started the tour with a mihi and karakia, blessing for their homes & families.
So much potential & promise in these lovely young folk.

Aucky Walky to the rescue.
A client cancelled their food tour with us last minute due to illness. So we dropped off a hydration kit to their hotel prior to check in.
It’s horrible being sick on holiday, especially so far from home.
As professional guides and Tamaki Auckland ambassadors, we strive to go the extra mile & show manaakitanga/kindness.
That’s who we are as New Zealanders.

Even in rain, we shine. On the wettest and dreariest of days, we had three groups booked . All of our guides received glowing five star reviews after the tour, despite the soggy Auckland weather.
We plan for days like this. Guests are on tight schedules and can’t postpone.
We pre warn them and reroute the tour to ensure more undercover spots and above all, keep it fun.
