Marlborough Classic Lines Omaka Airshow- April 18 - 20
The countdown is on!
If you haven’t booked your trip or tickets- its not too late! We’re thrilled to announce we still have (limited) availability on accommodation packages for this incredible airshow.
Classic Fighters Omaka is an action-packed family-friendly event and in 2025 it will be held over Easter Weekend, 18th-20th of April. They'll be 'Putting on the Ritz' with aircraft from the Golden Age of Aviation during the 1920s and 1930s glamour-ing up the skies. Gasp at the aerobatics and hold your breath as iconic WW2 warbirds and WW1 vintage aircraft display over the gorgeous vineyards of Omaka.
For a weekend of spectacular flying, classic cars, fireworks, fun, food, entertainment, magical moments and magnificent machines both in the air and on the ground- don’t miss out! Book your tickets here!
Marlborough Lines Classic Fighters is Friday afternoon and evening sees aircraft displays and performances ending with their incredible fireworks display. Saturday and Sunday are the main show days.
Marlborough's skyline and the Wither Hills are an unforgettable backdrop for an airshow that has showcased and pioneered the preservation of WW1 aircraft alongside the speed and power of WW2 aircraft and beyond.
This year they have some incredible aircraft displaying- the trio of ex RNZAF operated jets; Charles’s BAC Strikemaster 72, John Luffs Venom and a long awaited performance of the Vampire!
The world class Yak 52 team will also be there with their formation and aerobatic displays alongside the NZ Warbirds Harvard team.
Not one- but TWO immaculate twin engine classic Lockheeds will also be there and as the airshow theme suggests there will also be a range of Waco and Staggerwings
If WW2 heavy metal is your passion- then they’ve got you covered there too- with aerial and static displays you’ll see the FW190, Griffin Spitfire, Yak3 “Steadfast”, Mike’s mighty F4U Corsair, Brendon’s “Biggin Hill” Ohakea collection of the Mk9 Spitfire, P-51D Mustang and “Plonky” the Avenger.
There’ll also be a range of “Moths” alongside many others such as the (my personal favourite of course) CJ6 Nanchang, the “Wooden wonder” Mosquito, Percival Provost, Bird Dog, Chipmunks, A4 Skyhawk, P-40 Kittyhawk, Bristol Freighter, Polikarpov, Sopwith, Bristol, Nieuport, Bleriot, Eindecker, STM Ryan, Pitts Specials and even an Air Tractor.
Don’t forget to visit the world class Omaka Aviation Heritage Museum while there!
