Saryazd fortress

Yazd was a major city and Zoroastrian religious center in Sassanid times and the castle was used as a safebox in the case of invasion, in which the residents could store valuables such as gold and jewels as well as other items such as food or grain.
In the ancient world, invasion or raiding parties would look for valuable loot, while also pillaging for food for sustenance - therefore it was of importance to keep such commodities out of enemy reach.

“The symbol of Tehran, Azadi Tower”

The Azadi Tower (Freedom Tower) as the Eiffel Tower of Tehran, is a marble structure built in the late 1960s. Azadi Tower has been the most famous landmark of Tehran. This architectural masterpiece stands in the middle of a square and hosts a museum. The man behind all this was Hossein Amanat, as a young architect he won the contest for designing a monument to have both sensations of modernity and history of Iran at the same time.
In 2009, Milad Tower was built and became the modern symbol of Tehran.

Mind blowing fact: The great Shah Abbas ordered the engineers and architects that the Sheikh Lotfollah Mosque should be toward Mecca (south) without any mis-shape in the structure. But Naqsh-e Jahan Square was a gigantic rectangle (second biggest square in the world) and the Mosque was on the north side. The genius architects designed a 45 degree turn in the corridor (heel) that as prayers entered the mosque, even without noticing it, were aligned toward south. This corridor is one of the most beautiful mosques’ halls in the world of Islam. Now all the visitors of Naqsh-e Jahan, can see the majestic dome of Sheikh Lotfollah Mosque from any place of the yard without any vision blocking.

Persian cuisine has something to offer for all the tastes.
It will surprise you every time and it never gets repetitive. This traditional mansion is located in Isfahan and is called Namakdan (salt shaker 😍😄) with a diverse menu covering the majority of famous Persian traditional dishes.
How you tried Persian cuisine? What was it?
If you haven’t yet, you need to do it. Not even you get amazed by its taste, but also I can promise you it will become an unforgettable experience in your life.

The historic city of Yazd, enlisted on UNESCO world heritage site and protected under the Law for Protection of National Heritage (1930) in Iran, is an ancient land located in the deserts of Iran. Alexander The Great is set to have marched into this city on his way to India. Marco Polo became mesmerised by Yazd’s unique architecture not seen anywhere else. Yazd is one of the most favorite cities in Iran by most visitors. Perfect city to wonder around and just enjoy!

Babak Fort is one of "must to see" in Iran.
Babak Fort or Ghal’eh-e Babak is a large citadel on the top of a mountain in the Arasbaran forests, 50 km from Ahar.
The fort was the stronghold of Babak Khorramdin, the leaders of the Khurramites in Iranian Azerbaijan who fought the Islamic caliphate of Abbassids.

I was lucky enough to see this beautiful stunning architecture on my last trip to Iran(2022)twice!! To go to the fort, you need to be quite fit. The first part could be done by 4WD but the last part is an hour or so of steep uphill which at the end gives you an amazing view of the fort and the mount it is built on!
