A ride along the Forgotten World Highway is like a step back in time. Here the road twists and turns past remote farms, through valleys and across forested hillsides. It can be a challenging but equally rewarding ride. Thankfully the weather held just long enough for us to do the return leg.

Our group headed out of Auckland on the start of our Twin Island adventure. We've spent the last 2 days exploring the back roads of the Waikato region, experiencing an amazing banquet and tour at Hobbiton and getting to know each other.

No one went hungry that's for sure!

With its beautiful scenery, curving rhythm & proximity to Auckland, the Coromandel Peninsula is a favourite route for Kiwi riders. Riding east to west the road hugs the rugged coastline past tiny coastal towns lined with Pohutukawa trees - NZ’s very own Xmas tree. Crossing over onto the western seaboard the landscape changes to one of dense native rainforest and dazzling white sand beaches & bays - a mecca for surf and fishing enthusiasts. This region is rustic & unspoiled with a laid back surfing vibe. You may just feel the need to linger longer.

Following our incredible ride across the Pyrenees in June, we've put together a fantastic tour that not only conquers all the iconic mountain passes and amazing landscapes of the Pyrenees but as an added bonus we've included the incredible Gorge du Tarn, Carcassonne, the Millau Viaduct and everything in between. In fact we've jammed in so many amazing roads to ride that we've simply lost count!
