🛑PSA: Cordless GHDs Can’t Fly 🛑

A caution to those with the ghd cordless hair straighteners—you can no longer fly ex New Zealand with these modern marvels. 🚫😞🚫

Due to a change in AvSec guidelines the cordless ghds are no longer permitted in carry-on or checked baggage because they do not have a travel mode.

However, for those with the Dyson cordless version—you are still all good to pop these in your carry-on bag as they do have a ‘flight mode’.

The friendly folk as AvSec are being as accommodating as possible—& travellers may be able to pick up their straighteners on their return to New Zealand.

A life so beautifully lived deserves to be beautifully remembered. It is with great sadness and sorrow we announce the passing away of one of the founding member of Travel2000.

Mr Raju Patel (Ishwarlal Patel) peacefully left for his eternal life early hours of this morning.

A person who was full of life and always willing to help and go beyond to bring that smile on someone’s face.

He was known with nicknames because he was a fun and wonderful person full of jokes and humours with always a smile on his face. He was known as Raju kaka or Raju Goli (amongst his Gujarati community) and Roger amongst his colleagues & kava group.

A true son of Suva City with always that love & passion for the capital city as well as top supporter / fan of Suva Soccer. When it comes to rugby his favourite was All Blacks and yesterday’s win against springboks was his final win to celebrate before he left the sporting legacy behind either it be soccer, rugby or cricket.

For the past 24 years he has assisted and booked thousands and thousands of passengers and wishing them a good holiday or flight and always made sure the best priority is given.

A larger than life he was a community worker always willing to help anyone either it be friends, families our wider community within the religious organisations.

Words cannot describe his love and respect towards young & old. A role model of humanity he had in him.

Your life was a blessing, your memory a treasure, you are loved beyond words and missed beyond measure.

We will miss you 😢 Your gone too soon.

Rest high in the arms of angels in heaven our beloved legend.
