The Book Nook Pohutukawa Coast

The Book Nook Pohutukawa Coast The Book Nook: children's storybooks by a New Zealand author. Buy online, post reviews, gather ideas for your own creative writing. Why not!

A real estate agent who writes children’s books? Just as I am a professional matchmaker for the sellers and buyers of houses, so I am for characters and plots. Sometimes it’s a character that is looking round for a story to belong to, at other times it’s a plot that is looking for characters. Finally, the stories that are kindled have found their creative outlet here in the Book Nook. Since my ear

ly childhood, I have enjoyed writing children’s stories. It is a hobby that I have continued to cultivate, chronicling my travels around the world on my trusty laptop. Now, I live in Auckland, New Zealand, on the lovely Pohutukawa Coast within a stone’s throw from the sea. I can add the local beachfront café of Maraetai to the list of many places - such as a Hong Kong food market, a mountain top in Chile, a 500 year-old Scottish inn, and an Omani souq - in which I have penned my story ideas. Pottering about with micro-gardening and raw food recipes are also interests, which – you never know – just might find their way into a plot or two! (If you want to investigate my Facebook real estate page, you will find me under ‘Megan’s Property Page’.)

Here's a link to a great book that helps children explore the names to their feelings. Written by Adam Millen, with whom I had the pleasure of sharing a stall at the 2017 New Zealand Book Festival held last November.

Hi, folks! I have begun a TeachersPayTeachers online Book Nook Pohutukawa Coast teaching resource digital store at https://www.teacherspayteachers.com/Store/The-Book-Nook-Pohutukawa-Coast.

For starters, my principal focus will be English Grammar resources, with one of my aims being to breathe life into our dying comma. That is to come, though; meanwhile, I have launched my digital store with two resources that help students conquer the complexities of some common contractions. There is also one free board game to download.

I am open to requests and suggestions for teaching resources! Teachers who request a resource that I subsequently create, get a free copy of it, along with a set of any activities, pre-made up! Yes, I am in NZ, but I will ship to anywhere in the world!

Browse educational resources created by The Book Nook Pohutukawa Coast in the official Teachers Pay Teachers store.
