This past weekend was a great one for our lucky punters who headed to the NZCIS Wellington Cup.
Sporting Tours had another great group of people enjoying the hospitality, knowledge, and friendships that these tours bring. From the superb accommodation at Rydges Wellington, to the pre-race eve dinner, the views from the corporate hospitality box, to the tips and details from the knowledgeable Des Coppins, and the glorious food - it really was a weekend to remember!

A few days ago the NZ Herald posted a list of the 15 must-watch sporting events for 2025.

They start with the Sail GP in just a few days and finish with the first Ashes test in November. In between are rugby tours, boxing, the A-League and the cricket World Test Championships, the Warriors, the Lions Tour to Australia and the AB's tests and the RWC Women's final, the Melbourne Cup and of course Liam Lawson...

A week ago today one group of lucky punters were just settling into their seats at Flemington getting ready for the Race that Stops a Nation.
The Des Coppins led Sporting Tours group had prime seats to that action that day.

We will never forget the 7 days we have just spent with the other super friendly punters on this magnificent tour. It was a once off bucket list trip for us but it was so good we would love to do it again next year."

It wasn't only the marvelous on-track action that our lucky Melbourne Cup Escorted Tour group enjoyed - there was plenty of off-field fun as well!
Rodger Jordan, Kerrie Montgomery and Sandi Kelmqn were victors in the Sporting Tours Social Bowls Tournament!
And in a close second place were Leighton Montgomery, Jason Williams and Barbara Dowd. Well done guys!
We've also enjoyed Fashion in the Field and lunching at the Fergusson Winery.

What a great couple of weeks of sport we're having!
And this weekend we've got Auckland v Phoenix in the A League, NZ getting closer to a world first 3-series whitewash of India in the cricket, the rugby tomorrow morning with the AB's playing England, and Liam Lawson qualifying 8th for the Brazilian Grand Prix sprint race this morning!
