A quick update regarding the Tryphena Wharf on Aotea, Great Barrier Island during the month of July.

Auckland Transport is undertaking significant refurbishment of the Tryphena Wharf. The works have been going well but to progress as efficiently as possible there will be some disruption to our services during July.

For these reasons Tryphena Sailings on Wednesday July 10th & 24th will now be diverted to Whangaparapara, a beautiful part of the island, 15 mins from Claris.

All going to plan, we will be back to our regular winter timetable from August as we start gearing up for the summer season!

A friendly reminder that all unaccompanied minors between the ages of 7 and 14 travelling with us need to complete a travel authorization prior to departure. This can be done online ahead of the sailing.

The more notice we have the better.
It is important that there is someone to pick the child up at the other end of the journey.
Children under the age of 7 must be accompanied by an adult.

Our crew will always take extra care with our younger travellers and make sure they are comfortable and happy from departure to arrival. We will of course make sure they meet the person waiting to pick them up. However, we need to stick to a tight timetable, so please make sure they arrive on time 😊

Travel for dogs to and from the Great Barrier Island will be free starting 10th May 2024!!!😎

We love welcoming dogs 🐶 onboard and look forward to giving all the goodest boys and girls the pats they need as they cross the Hauraki Gulf.🐾

You will still need to let our customer care team know you are bringing a dog with you, so just call our friendly team and give them a heads up.❤️

We’ve decided to do things slightly differently over this period. This is due to all the extra sailings over the December to February period and all the public holiday weekends (YAY!). 🛟⛴

We are now encouraging you to use a QR card to visit our website for the most up to date timetables. This has several benefits, especially if we have changes to any timetables over this time.❗️

You’ll be able to quickly access the most up-to-date timetables on your phone. The brochure in particular will look fantastic on the fridge.😄
