On 6 December 1987, Thai Airways opened the doors of its first ticket office in Auckland, New Zealand and our first passengers landed at Auckland Airport from Bangkok in a DC-10. Thai Airways took off with one flight a week and was able to extend its flight schedule continuously. Today, 32 years later, Thai Airways operates daily non-stop flights from Auckland to Bangkok with a Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner as its standard carrier. From Bangkok, THAI carries you to the most exciting destinations throughout Thailand, Asia and Europe.
In the 32 years which THAI operated in Auckland, there were many new faces, aircraft types and flight routes. However, the first-class service and the gentle and warm Thai touch that is given on ground as well as on board of our flights, have remained unchanged. In this way, THAI would like to accompany you for many more years as a passenger on your journeys and look forward to welcoming you soon on one of our flights.
