I love being able to ride my bike in places that are difficult to get by car and to be able to get a grass roots experi

ence. My best memory is cycling through an area in Sierra Leone and coming across a tank in the bush! Don’t get me wrong, I’m very happy in 5 star hotels and experienced a few, but also have found a love for camping too. Favorite places? I love everywhere but all time would be Africa - all of it! Italy, USA and Japan. Thank you for following me and your referrals to friends/family's are very welcome and you will be rewarded. Enjoy your travel adventures and thank you for your business so far. 2025 bookings are now open for Peugeot and Citroen Europe long term car hire. Great news that this year it’s a minimum of only 15 days, although that Earlybird specials are for 21days or more.

I’ve had some great holidays in Europe the last few years so always happy to help with the planning.

I am currently working abroad (holidaying while Nz sleeps, then working on Nz hours as USA time difference is fabulous). Cycling West to East along the northern route in the USA.

I am researching the usually “untouched” America for anyone that is interested. While most places you’ve never heard of, the last week in South Dakota has been brilliant (a few days to go). I can highly recommend a road trip most places we have been (okay maybe not all!). Here is a snippet of what you could see (plus a few extras).

Just a heads up a to all my clients out there with a GHD cordless travel iron…

🛑PSA: Cordless GHDs Can’t Fly 🛑

A caution to those with the ghd cordless hair straighteners—you can no longer fly ex New Zealand with these modern marvels. 🚫😞🚫

Due to a change in AvSec guidelines the cordless ghds are no longer permitted in carry-on or checked baggage because they do not have a travel mode.

However, for those with the Dyson cordless version—you are still all good to pop these in your carry-on bag as they do have a ‘flight mode’.

The friendly folk at Aviation Security Service - AvSec are being as accommodating as possible—& travellers may be able to pick up their straighteners on their return to New Zealand.

PS: And yes all trip pics will now feature a hat! 🤪😂

I’ve just spent 2 weeks cycling around Corsica. Almost 1000km, so if we didn’t cycle there, probably not a road!!

Corsica is part of France, great for a self drive, cycle, hiking and of course coastline, for which there is tons. Favourite areas would be the west side beaches, Calvi and Ill Rousse. Stunning location although April is probably a bit early - it wasn’t sunbathing weather but it was lovely and quiet!!!

Yes I am working here so any questions, don’t hesitate to get in touch. I’m now in Italy where the coffee is finally cheaper and better (sorry France!)

Peugeot and Citroen make it easy and cost effective for car hire in Europe.. especially if you pick up and drop off in France! (Other airports are possible). Minimum 30 days hire for less than $3000NZ with GPS!

Merry Christmas everyone. I’ll be taking the public holidays off but will see any urgent emails of course.

Thank you for your continued support. It’s so great to have Covid restrictions behind us and use our passports again. Gosh it’s a busy world out there and happy to report I haven’t sold a $6k economy airfare all year so prices are getting better but still unlikely to be pre covid levels for another year I think.

As always get in touch early as the NZ travel market is all about booking early to get the best deal.

I’ve just had clients return from 2 weeks in Egypt to visit family working up there. A few discussions prior to departure for obvious reasons but the workplace in Cairo confirmed that it was safe to visit so off they went.

Some wonderful feedback! So don’t be scared, start planning to see something new. I’ve been to Egypt and it’s a magical place.

“We have had the most amazing trip. Everything about it was special. Great friendly people, amazing weather, incredible sights and of course loads of family time.

I would definitely be telling people to travel there. The media is not helping but we felt safer there than we do at home! Of course we never ventured anywhere near sinai and Cairo is over 300km away from the Gaza Strip, but you would have know there was a war waging near Egypt.

The major sights were heaving with people and you definitely should have tour guides for them all. The tour guides we had were fantastic and so passionate on their country and its history and even more passionate to get word out to tourists its safe to visit”

It’s that time of year that it feels like everything is on sale! Now it’s Tahiti.

INUVIK is the main town up here … and this is the main road…. Where is everyone? They were in that North Mart Supermarket

So many of you have been asking about the excursions on the cruise. Every day we had an option of a free excursion In the morning and a paid one in the afternoon. I did an Active & Discovery Itinerary with Avalon Waterways so we had 3 options daily. Active - walking, cycling or even a run! Discovery - usually food related, or standard (history, city tour etc). Excursions were out by 830-9am and back for lunch, afternoon trips generally left at 2. We sailed overnight for first few days so woke up somewhere new each morning which was great (no packing and getting on a coach was so so good!) but towards the end of the trip we sailed afternoons which was cool too as scenery was lovely. Can you tell I’d recommend it?!

Of course I couldn’t agree more. Credit to Internova Travel Group for this great video. Did you know the computer only gives you what you ask it for? How many times have you booked a fare online thinking you got the best deal? Most times you won’t have got the best deal because the fare can sometimes offer side trips or stopovers for free or sector upgrades for minimal costs but you don’t know that and probably don’t even know how to ask the computer that either. I always say “you don’t google how to be a car mechanic (well not usually) so why not use an expert to book your holiday??” I’d love to help!
