After finding an injured baby Tui a few weeks ago, it lead us to making a connection to an awesome person who dedicates a lot of time and effort into rehabilitating native birds.
Although our wee tui did not win his battle, we have had the opportunity to release a Morepork to the wild a couple of weeks ago followed by a weka today.
Such a privilege to have our little haven in Anakiwa with so much native vegetation around it to make an idea release area for these birds.
Looking forward to releasing more in the future… hopefully some will like it enough to visit once in a while. 🦉🐦‍⬛🦅🦜
