A few new/different tools added to the fleet this year for our upcoming projects, 10T grader, 3.5T towed sheepsfoot roller, 4T tip trailer for the wheelie digger, new 4 axle trailer for Kenny, and a new 3T tipper, 3T track dumper to match our other for the narrow muddy track we have ahead of us

Our latest project completed, thanks to our brilliant team, Marlborough Tree Care, Vortex Contracting and FH Marlborough. This one was a pretty labour intensive job for us over some of the hottest days of the year 🥵. With this being a culturally sensitive site and on the edge of SH1 we were very mindful of the impact the site would have during the build so leaving a minimal footprint and minimal disruption was a must!! A few rough numbers of installation: 98 post holes augered /hydrovacced and concreted, 840m of timber boxed edges and 1120 timber pegs driven in the ground. All soils were screened and reused onsite and a vegetation removed was mulched and also reused onsite. Although a small site there was a lot of work involved, once again thanks to the team for their top efforts

So here she is, something very different for us and after a few mods and some trialling we are absolutely stoked with her performance and capabilities. With our upcoming and current cycleway works we were after a tool for gravelling the narrow sections of track (as this is very slow with a track dumper and digger) so we have ended up with our Kubota tractor, 85hp, 1.5m cut width, 1.7m overall width, low height to get under trees and tracks for better traction, heaped volume of 1.9m3, we also added extra rear wheels to the scraper for better floatation and rolling. Perfect one man operation for cut to fill and gravelling. Videos to follow…

Earlier in the year, we were lucky enough to help Edridge Contracting and Richardson Brothers with loading / levelling woodchip in a ship ready for export, running 24 hours constant, this was very different to our usual scope, great to have been part of
