Massive Moonrise, El Capitan, Yosemite || In December I got to photograph one of my favorite sights: a full moon rising over Yosemite Valley. I’ve done this more times than I can count, but it never ceases to thrill me. This time the moon came up behind El Capitan, and I was ready with two cameras: one for a wider view, one for an extreme telephoto. For this shot I used my Sony a7RIV, Sony 200-600 lens, and Sony 2X Teleconverter to make the moon as big as possible. (That shiny patch of granite beneath the moon is the frozen trickle of Horsetail Fall.)
