Thanks for all the birthday messages yesterday. I had the most special day. Surprise breakfast picnic with my two girls, lunch at my fav Alpinos with my guy, a massage, a wee trip to Rumor, also my fav. Home to some beautiful flowers, thanksCathryn Peacocke. Then a special night with my Mum and Dad and family. Kayla made me the most amazing cake, oh and Teags drew me a picture! I can’t believe I’m 50!

One of our favourite families are staying this weekend. Welcome back for your third visit James, Amanda and your gorgeous wee family. Here’s me, carefree, with a cocktail in my hand on holiday. And none the wiser to what was about to come my way.
October is Breast Cancer Awareness month and we gift 3-4 weekends a year to various fundraisers for this cause. Breast cancer is the gift that keeps on giving, it doesn’t just end after surgery, and too many of us are affected by it. It’s not just us, it’s our husbands, our children, our grandchildren, parents, friends and colleagues.
So I cant rock a bikini anymore, so what. I’m alive. I’ll be walking in pink on the 26th of October to support a great cause around Hamilton Lake. And I’ll have Dolly with me, my daughters, and my grandkids. My friends, and most importantly, Paul, my best friend and supporter. Come and join me. It’s super easy to sign up. adorable cuties and their Mum and Dad this weekend.

We have just had the pleasure of hosting the loviest family this weekend and it reminds us why we do it. Not only were they incredibly kind and appreciative, they were cool! It's heartwarming to see an adult family that care about each other and enjoy spending time together. We're so grateful to have had the opportunity to host them and we can’t wait to see them again soon. ♥️

I had my last surgery on Monday so I am in recovery mode again. This time though, I have Dolly Dog to take care of me. ❤️🐾I had so many plans for the Retreat this year, but despite the unexpected intrusion of breast cancer, we have still worked hard, shared our wee slice of paradise with some, and added to our array of farm animals. None of which I could have done without the incredible support of my husband, my family and my friends. You ALL know who you are. I have also made new friends and it does make you appreciate human kindness so much more. I actually don’t regret a single thing. I feel so blessed to be alive and grateful for everything and everyone I have. 2023 will be returning to my normal. A normal routine, my job , the gym, sleepovers with the grandies, date nights with my husband, girls weekends away, family time and enjoying every moment I can with my two beautiful daughters who need their Mumma. And of course, we want to share with as many of you as we can. It has been my sanctuary this year. The luxuries and the animals. Merry Christmas to all our followers. We hope to meet some of you in 2023. 💕

A sneak peek at who is moving to The Good Life Retreat this weekend. Dwarf Nigerian baby goats!!!!!! 🐐These little gems were born premature almost two weeks ago weighing just over the size of a block of butter. They will be on bottles for quite some time. We are picking up the two wee boys on Sunday. Any suggestions for names?

We have a neighbourhood email group and this email was just sent to everyone. “Hi all. We've had a cat (small lion) sitting outside our window last few nights?
Just seeing if it's a stray and hungry or just really likes watching tv”
Of course we replied with “That’s Kevin and he MOST definitely doesn’t need feeding. Lol”
