Attune Travel We craft luxury tours of New Zealand that cater to our guest’s individual tastes and budget. Private tours are from 2-8 people.

Whether that’s adventure, great cuisine, or simply natural beauty, we design a custom itinerary that is expertly attuned with our guests passions and interests. The tours are all custom based on your group's interests and preferences. We recommend a minimum of 15 days/14 nights for either a North Island tour or a South Island tour. For a combined tour we recommend at least 22 days/21 nights. Tours

should be booked a year in advance to ensure the availability of lodging and special activities. Email us and we can set up a call to discuss it!

They are considered one of the smartest birds in the world. And they have a strange taste for the rubber lining of your car's windshield. Best to keep them away from your vehicle!

Ziplining through the trees above Queenstown is a fun (and safe!) activity. The staff at Ziptrek Ecotours are well trained, informative and helpful. You take the Gondola up to the top of Bob's Peak and then make your way back down the mountain on exhilarating ziplines and hiking. A beautiful day in the forest with fantastic views of the city and lake below.

We recommend this air tour around the tip of the North Island, which includes viewing the lighthouse at Cape Reinga. It saves hours of driving and gives you a perspective from the air that you don't get from the winding roads. There's some options for using either helicopters or fixed-wing flights - with helicopters giving you the option to make multiple landing stops.

Cathedral Cove is one the most recognizable landmarks on the east coast of the North Island. It's actually a marine reserve called 'Te Whanganui-A-Hei Marine Reserve' on the Coromandel Peninsula. You can choose to explore Cathedral Cove area from land, on the water, or in the air, with tour operators offering cruises, water taxi services, kayaking options, diving and snorkelling, heli-tours and sailing boats. Kaikōura is one of our favourite towns on the South Island. Along with its beautiful mountains, beaches and wildlife, it is now one of the 22 areas in the world that have been granted International Dark Sky Sanctuary status. Sanctuary status is only awarded to locations that possess an exceptional or distinguished quality of starry nights and a nocturnal environment that is protected for its scientific, natural, educational, cultural heritage, and public enjoyment. One more reason to spend some quality time there!

DarkSky International officially designated Kaikōura, New Zealand as an International Dark Sky Sanctuary.

When the skies are blue and the wind drops, you get some magically smooth boating excursions on Lake Wānaka. Here we're coming back from a tour of Mou Waho, a tiny island rich in Māori and European history with an elevated lake in the middle.

Excellent door-to-door service by Fiordlands Helicopters, to the field in front of Fiordland Lodge. This was to pick us up for a scenic flight over Milford Sound and the surrounding mountains.

If amazing luxury, pampering, 5-star meals, marine activities, ocean views and birdsong appeal to you, then we should discuss a stay at the Bay of Many Coves in Marlborough Sounds 😊

We recently published a photo of a sign saying 'Tame Eels' from the Awaroa Lodge in Abel Tasman National Park. Here is the promised video - they are tame and friendly and frankly, probably just want to be fed!

Believe it or not, this is kayaking in central Christchurch, on the Avon. It's quite serene and we highly recommend it. You rent a kayak from the friendly staff at Antgua Boat Sheds, and off you go. You'll be sharing the river with lots of wildlife 😊

Yes, New Zealand has amazing places to ride horses! And we can incorporate that into a tour, whatever your skill level. This is a South Island ride that Sue took recently, with stunning views of the ocean, on the east coast.

Pīhopa Retreat Hotel is beautiful place to stay in Nelson, on north coast of the South Island. This 5-star resort has many fabulous amenities to complement the almost always sunny climate. Featuring six luxury suites and a multiple room guest house, a heated pool and historic gardens and chapel, it's a gorgeous location just minutes from Nelson's restaurants, art scene and beaches. Everything is included once you're onsite and there's lots of activities and three national parks within easy reach, including the Abel Tasman National Park on the coast.
