🌟🌟MEET GEORGE🌟🌟

We’re very happy to share the news that George has now permanently joined the Radius Team. 🤩

Being the proactive lad that he is, he reached out to us late last year to see if we needed a new apprentice. Good timing… We did! 😄

After a good chat with Rich he started in November and since then has proven himself to be a total champion. 🏆

Well done George, we’re super impressed with your great attitude and commitment.

We’re stoked to have you in the team and look forward to helping you on your journey to becoming a top notch carpenter. 🏠🔨🥾

Ps – we thought it would be a bit of fun to get a new wheel barrow for George on his first concreting day so we can watch them age together.

I’m guessing you’ve all seen a cavity slider inside a house, but did you know the same principles can be used for exterior doors as well?!

An external cavity slider is a great option to fully connect your indoor and outdoor living spaces without the need for hinged or bifold doors in the way, or having stacking sliders reduce the opening space.

Check out the pics from one of our recent projects to see how this external cavity slider and the level entry deck, create a seamless indoor/outdoor flow whilst maximising the available opening space. Stunning! 🤩

The team are nailing it (excuse the pun) on a full remodel plus second storey addition in Riccarton. 🔨

They’re already one week ahead of schedule, so we thought we’d better get some updated pics in before it’s too late!

One of the fun things with alterations is taking photos from the same spot during construction, so you can watch it break down and re-grow in its new form. So…. We did just that with the last 5 pics. A pretty impressive transformation!

For those who enjoy the technical side of building, the ground beams cast into the slab are a defense measure against earthquakes and allow the slab to cantilever up to two metres if the ground beneath disappears. Let’s hope that never happens!

It’s on! 🤩

We’re very excited to be underway with this superb extension to an existing home on the hills of Christchurch.

Richard missed it in his photos (🤦‍♂️) but there’s superb views, an outdoor kitchen and a beautiful tiled swimming pool already on site. So the extension brings the house to these features, creating the ultimate indoor/outdoor entertaining space.

As a bonus, once the extension is complete we get to completely remodel the existing house interiors.

A massive thank you to our wonderful clients Fernanda and Josh for trusting us to bring their vision to life. 🙏😄

Everyone loves getting messy right? Especially if it’s for a great cause! 🌟

On Friday 22 November, Christ the King School ran an amazing Colour Run event to raise funds for new playground equipment.

The Radius team sponsored a colour station and it looks like things got very untidy! 😆

Each of the children were given a t-shirt with the sponsors names listed. The before and after photos are very impressive. 👕

There was also some signage which added to the ‘feel good’ vibe of being able to support such a great fundraiser for the children, who looked like they had a blast! 🤩

So, here's an update on one of our current projects...!! 🤩

Progress on the Colombo Street build is on schedule (as always with our work) 😊 (brag moment 1)

We just had to showcase the beautiful framing work by Troy and Shayne because it’s, well, impeccable! 😊 (brag moment 2)

We’re loving the sense of space the skilion roof gives to the main living area.

Exterior joinery is arriving next week and it’s all go! 😅

Richard and the team were out in Lincoln on Friday last week, doing their final checks and walk through, before the cleaners come in.

They were making sure everything is perfect for our clients, before hand-over this Friday (one week ahead of schedule!) 🤩

All the team have worked so hard and we're very proud of the effort they always put in. Great work, Gaz, Shayne and Troy!! 🏆🏆🏆 Thank you also to the trades who partnered with us in crafting yet another beautiful home. 🏠👌 (photo's to follow)

I (Michele) learned a new skill recently! 🎓

At the end of July, I did a Test and Tag course. It was very cool, there was quite a lot to learn and I really enjoyed it! (Especially receiving my certificate in the mail!!😆)

Coming from a banking and insurance background, learning a bit about electricity was kind of scary, yet fascinating. Now I get to join in on our quarterly company maintenance days as the test and tag guru! 🔌 Richard is so happy that I'm finally on the tools!!! 🤩
