Assistant Housekeeper job availability

Lawn Cottages provides premium guest accommodation with 6 fully self contained cottages in park like established grounds located on Lawn Rd in Clive, Hawkes Bay.

We have a position for an Assistant Housekeeper to support the Senior Housekeeper. Applicants preferably have cleaning experience, however we are willing to train the right candidate that demonstrates the attributes we are looking for, such as a good eye for detail, can work alone but also a team player and takes pride in their work.

The role includes full cottage cleans and turnovers to a high standard, and laundry duties. In the off season when time permits we include some cottage and grounds maintenance.

Minimum of 20 hours per week- 5 hours a day over scheduled work days. Hours between 9.30am and 3.30pm. Flexibility on days and availability on weekends, public and school holidays is essential.

Hi all. The cyclone devastation in the Hawkes Bay and other areas of NZ is a disaster and even more of a wake up call about our infrastructure and systems. At Lawn Cottages we had no damage or flooding, and our guests have all made it back home. The area has no power currently and hopefully that resolves soon. Thoughts are with those who have been flooded and displaced across the North Island

Lawn Cottages is based in Clive in the Hawkes Bay providing premium guest accommodation. We have 6 fully self contained cottages. We recently filled a position of senior housekeeper and now seek someone for an assistant housekeeper position that is part time of a minimum of 20 hours per week. Applicants need to have housekeeping experience, good attention to detail and able to be flexible on work days, as work schedules are based around guest stays and turnovers which often include weekends and holiday periods.

Lawn Cottages provides premium guest accommodation with fully self contained cottages set in park like established grounds. We are looking to create a job co- share role to support existing staff, focussed on cottage cleaning and set up for guests. The cottages are like small houses so need living areas, bathrooms, kitchens and deck areas cleaned and then set up for presentation suitable for incoming guests. Ideally 2 people working as a team and who can cover when one is not available, is preferred. Hours will be flexible accordingly and based around guest check-ins.

Hi all. Lawn Cottages is grateful for the support of the numerous guests who have made bookings for accommodation with us in the Hawkes Bay.

We have maintained safe checkin and checkout procedures and will continue to do so for the foreseeable future. Each cottage is entirely separate, at least 15m separation, so guests can be confident of appropriate social distancing.

Cleaning is rigorous and all surfaces thoroughly cleaned between guests.

If you are thinking of travelling to the Hawkes Bay, please consider our accommodation.

As an update, all guests due to stay during the lockdown or soon after have been given a booking transfer for a future date without penalties or fees. The team at Lawn Cottages wishes to thank all guests for participating and supporting us with a future stay when we all get clear of the pandemic.

All Lawn Cottages staff have been retained.

Stay safe, stick to the lockdown rules so we all come out if this sooner than otherwise.
