The iconic Tuki Tuki river and fabulous Ocean Beach and Wairmarama are an easy 15 - 20 minute drive away. Each Cottage - Flax, Magnolia and Hydrangea - (Hydrangea being the largest of the 3) has 1 Queen Bedroom and 1 Twin Bedroom, open plan kitchen living with French doors opening to wide verandahs, outdoor seating and BBQ's over looking the gardens. Assistant Housekeeper job availability

Lawn Cottages provides premium guest accommodation with 6 fully self contained cottages in park like established grounds located on Lawn Rd in Clive, Hawkes Bay.

We have a position for an Assistant Housekeeper to support the Senior Housekeeper. Applicants preferably have cleaning experience, however we are willing to train the right candidate that demonstrates the attributes we are looking for, such as a good eye for detail, can work alone but also a team player and takes pride in their work.

The role includes full cottage cleans and turnovers to a high standard, and laundry duties. In the off season when time permits we include some cottage and grounds maintenance.

Minimum of 20 hours per week- 5 hours a day over scheduled work days. Hours between 9.30am and 3.30pm. Flexibility on days and availability on weekends, public and school holidays is essential.

Hi all. The cyclone devastation in the Hawkes Bay and other areas of NZ is a disaster and even more of a wake up call about our infrastructure and systems. At Lawn Cottages we had no damage or flooding, and our guests have all made it back home. The area has no power currently and hopefully that resolves soon. Thoughts are with those who have been flooded and displaced across the North Island

Lawn Cottages is based in Clive in the Hawkes Bay providing premium guest accommodation. We have 6 fully self contained cottages. We recently filled a position of senior housekeeper and now seek someone for an assistant housekeeper position that is part time of a minimum of 20 hours per week. Applicants need to have housekeeping experience, good attention to detail and able to be flexible on work days, as work schedules are based around guest stays and turnovers which often include weekends and holiday periods.

Our Story

Lawn Cottages has 6 separate, private and stylish cottages set amongst 3 acres of tranquil park-like grounds of expansive lawns, rose gardens, wonderful mature trees (fruit and nut) gardens and ponds. We are centrally located in Clive midway between Hastings and Napier, and close to the local beach and Hawkes Bay cycle trail.

Flax and Magnolia (our standard garden view 50m2 cottages) and Hydrangea (our large family 79m2 cottage) are our original cottages and are each 2 bedroom 1 bathroom. Each cottage has undergone a full renovation in 2019 including new kitchens with oven, cooktop, dishwasher and full size fridge, double glazing and air-conditioning. The bathroom with under floor heating, beds, bedding and flooring are also new as well as the BBQ that sits on the covered verandah deck.

Kowhai and Pohutukawa are newly built in 2019, and are our premium 2 bedroom 2 bathroom cottages at 73m2. Each has a kitchen with oven, cooktop, dishwasher and full size fridge. Rose, newly built also in 2019, is our premium 1 bedroom 50m2 cottage. Each have large covered verandah decks with BBQ and outdoor seating and are air-conditioned.

Each 2 bedroom cottage has a queen bed in the main bedroom, and 2 twin long singles in the second bedroom. The 1 bedroom cottage has a queen bed. February 2020 we have opened a new guest laundry built near Magnolia cottage, with 2 washing machines and a condenser dryer and an outdoor clothes line.
