REMINDER for international travellers arriving into Wellington, Christchurch and Queenstown Airports, now can complete the digital declaration instead of a paper passenger arrival card before travelling to New Zealand. This aims to help passengers move more efficiently through the airport. www.travellerdeclaration.govt.nz

From late August travellers arriving into Auckland will be able to complete the digital declaration. (currently they still fill in a manual paper arrival card)

Travellers are not currently required to complete a New Zealand Traveller Declaration. Travellers arriving at selected New Zealand international airports will be able to complete an online declaration from July 2023.

FYI!

If an airline ever tells you, as a traveller, that you have been booked on a ‘stand by’ ticket and you will be unable to travel on your booked flight please show them your confirmed ticket with ticket number.
Stand by tickets can only be sold by the airline itself. If an airline has oversold a flight they may use this line rather than offering compensation and alternative options

If you are an avid passport stamp fan, then we have some sad news for you.

Rolling out sometime in 2023, the EU will introduce an automated entry/exit system that will mean the end of manual passport stamps.

Instead, travellers will scan their passports at an automated self-service kiosk.

It hasn't rolled out quite yet though (after already being delayed twice) so there might still be time for you to get one more in before it's too late! ✈️✈️

Sam Chui, a Dubai-based travel vlogger, was invited to sit behind the pilots in the cockpit of flights into Queenstown & Wellington Airports.

I was lucky enough to do this a few times when I worked for Air NZ- such an experience ⭐️

Stretching 22,387km from Cape Town in South Africa to Magadan in Russia, this route can be completed solely on foot and would take around 4,492 hours. Walking 8 hours a day, every day, it would take over a year and a half!

Air New Zealand is returning to Bali in March next year! ☀️

The flights will be full-service which means all customers will receive a meal, inflight entertainment, and a checked bag, and they are seasonal so they will run until October.
