A lovely new section of track near the Bush Hut, but actually it's not new at all. Dan Shand cut the original track to take guests to a nice pool in the bush, it was nearly complete when a message came through that Mandy had gone into labor. Along came a wee girl "Amalia". That was 18 years ago and now finally the track is complete and everyone can now visit Amalia's Pool!

Love those summer days under the cover of the bush. We've got a bunch of dipping spots along the trails and did you know about 65% of the Island Hills Track is under bush cover. We've still got spaces in January!
