Keen campers may already be aware that the Glinks Gully campground has not reopened after winter like it normally does. The managers have left and currently, no bookings are being accepted for this summer. We’re sorry for the inconvenience, especially for those who may have this as their regular camping spot.

With both this and the closure of Kellys Bay campground, Kaipara District Council is now looking at how they manage these spaces for the future. To see how much interest there might be from members of the public to manage and operate Kellys Bay and Glinks Gully campgrounds, Council is calling for expressions of interest.

Perhaps you’re a people person, who likes a relaxed lifestyle, loves the feeling of sand under your feet and thinks managing and operating a couple of small boutique campgrounds is right up your alley! If it sounds like the ideal opportunity for you (or someone you know) check out the Expression of Interest on our website (link in comments).
