How to use:
- As a toner under makeup. Apply serum about one minute before you plan to put any other products on your skin. Apply a drop directly to your face, spread it thinly over your skin and gently rub in. Check serum is completely rubbed in, if not it might turn white when it completely dries. Two-four drops should be enough to cover your face.
- As a sealant for dry or cracked skin. If your skin is feeling tired or cracked apply the serum directly to the affected area and gently rub in. Repeat as often as needed.
- As a night treatment. If you wish to treat your skin to a maximum collagen dose overnight. Apply 2 - 4 drops on your skin and gently rub in.
- To treat small cuts and scratches. Collagen is one of the first proteins your body makes during wound repair; addition of collagen to wounds has been shown to speed recovery. Apply serum over the cuts and gently rub in. ABOUT US
Ayrmed is a biotechnology company based in Dunedin. We specialise in the extraction of natural products for the use in cosmetics and medicines. Our chief scientist is Dr Jim O'Malley. Jim has a PhD in Physiology from the University of Otago and has spent 25 years working in the United States in academia (Columbia, Cornell and U. Pennsylvania) as a neuroscientist followed by industry (Pfizer) as a drug discovery scientist. Before returning to New Zealand Jim founded his own biotech company, Myometrics, developing an accelerated bone healing small molecule stem cell activator. It was during that time that he developed his interest in the role of collagen in tissue repair. Collagen Serum is the first product Ayrmed is bringing to the market and represents the culmination of five years of R&D. The proprietary method by which Ayrmed isolates and purifies the collagen allows it to provide the first full length product that is affordable for users.

Collagen makes up around 80% of our skin. As we age our bodies naturally start reducing collagen production so our skin becomes less fresh, drier, exposed to damage from outside elements and prone to fine lines. Collagen products are popular to help combat these effects. Ayrmed Collagen Serum is different from other products– it’s a full length collagen and hyaluronic acid solution. Full length collagen provides additional collagen to skin and is capable of supporting wound recovery. This differs from hydrolysed collagen, commonly used in beauty products, which has been generated by heat treatment, sometimes supplemented with enzyme digestion, to give a product that is made up of small peptide lengths which do not have the biological activity of the original collagen molecules. Ayrmed’s Full length collagen has been extracted from high quality traceable New Zealand collagen-rich tissue under gentle conditions that results in an undamaged collagen molecule with the same activities as the native collagen in your skin. Five years of research by chief scientist Dr Jim O’Malley led to a revolutionary new extraction method with purpose built laboratory equipment using a proprietary method which results in a pioneering product designed to deliver maximum collagen for skin repair. The addition of hyaluronic acid allows the serum to draw moisture from the body and thus act as a surface moisturiser without the sometimes greasy feeling of traditional moisturisers.
