Our focus is to provide a welcoming, friendly learning environment for our tamariki. We close for statutory holidays and five teacher-only days during the year.

We are inclusive and flexible within our setting, and embrace all the cultures of our community and different learning styles of our tamariki. Session Times Available for 2 - 6 years
Monday to Friday
ALL DAY 8.30 - 2.30
Half Days also available 8.30 - 12.30

We operate all year, from mid-January until just prior to Christmas.

Our fundraiser has launched! Please see the letter we have sent home or head to https://halfwaybushpies.raiseit.co.nz/ to sign up for a fundraising page so you can start selling and help us fundraise. We are raising funds to put towards turning our verandah into an all-weather classroom! . Once you have a page setup share it with friends and family. After the fundraiser Go Raise It will send you a report of your sales and you can pick up your products and use that report to get them to your supporters.

Kia ora Kindergarten whānau, just a couple of reminders for the week:

* Toilet paper orders will be ready to collect tomorrow from kindergarten at 2.30, please ensure you arrange to pick them up then.

* We are closed this Friday 28/06/2024 for the Matarki public holiday

* We have a Matariki Family Night celebration next Wednesday, 3rd July at 5pm - bring a plate for some shared kai (dinner)

Nice work team! Good to see lots of pink shirts here at kindergarten last week! We had some good conversations around how we support others and be kind to one another!

We would love a $500 Bunnings voucher to help us buy materials for some of our projects here at kindergarten!

We are looking forward to welcoming all our whānau to our Matariki night tonight from 5pm.

What better way to express ourselves on a hot Dunner Stunner. We had classical music playing while ballerina feet splashed about in time with the music in the cool soapy water.

What a beautiful day in Dunedin today, a real Dunner stunner. The earth is warming up and the birds are chirping. What better what to get that spring step into our day than playing in the mud, glorious mud! The children thoroughly enjoyed the mud today with the warmer weather. Mud Play is important for children to develop and practice their fine and gross motor skills, increase awareness of their senses, particularly touch, improve hand/ eye coordination and develop their social and emotional skills, including taking turns and leading/following directions.

We had a wonderful day today, celebrating Matariki together, with stories around the fire, shared Kai and Waiata. Have a fantastic long-weekend with friends and whanau.
