Two weeks ago we suddenly lost our brother in-law and good friend, Dan Groen, to a medical event. Dan was a pillar of the Balclutha community, he was involved in the local rugby club, golf club, and had been a member of the Presbyterian Buddy Programme for five years. Dan's kind nature and generosity meant he was loved by everyone who had the pleasure of meeting him.

Dan leaves behind Alex his partner and baby Franklin (3 months).

To support Alex and baby Franklin, the Clutha community has donated some amazing prizes to be auctioned over the next 35 days, one day for each year of Dan's life. The number of and calibre of prizes shows how well regarded Dan was within the Clutha community.

We are also donating a prize which includes a tour of Speights Brewery, a $100 Emersons Brew Bar voucher, as well as an hour tour on Experience Dunedin's Trike.
