Their time in Anaheim was a contrast of colours, focusing on more family-oriented activities. “The kids enjoyed the excitement of Disneyland,” exploring theme parks, rides, and indulging in the rich array of dining and shopping options.

🏖️ Relaxation in Hawaii
The trip extended to Hawaii, and Paula and her family enjoyed some well-deserved relaxation on the iconic beaches of Waikiki. A perfect balance of relaxation and fun.

Shelley from House of Travel Mount Maunganui, Papamoa & Tauranga Crossing went on an unforgettable Active Discovery trip from Basel to Amsterdam on the Rhine River. The “Active” part of the trip meant Shelley was able to partake in a few more optional tours that included E bike, Kayaking or longer walks. “The traditional sightseeing tours still lets you be as active or as in-active as you like”

In this episode of Dunedin Stories, we meet Tony Boomer, owner of House of Travel Dunedin City! Tony shares his incredible experiences travelling abroad, which led him to his career as a travel agent. ✈️🌅

After exploring places such as the UK, Canada, South America, the Middle East, Africa, and Europe, to name a few, Tony still finds home right here in Dunedin, saying, "Dunedin is visually amazing," and what we have here is something special. ❤️ Now, Tony shares his passion and extensive travel knowledge with Dunedites, providing them with the same incredible experiences. 🌎

We had to ask if bringing a friend from afar to Dunedin, where are you taking them? Tony went with The Good Oil Cafe for coffee, Precinct Food for lunch and the Prohibition Smokehouse for dinner. ☕️🍽️

Tony talks about his love for football, specifically his team, the Dunedin City Royals. ⚽ ️ From asking what Dunedin legend he'd share a Speight's beer with, Tony chose Dunedin's legendary 1970s Goalkeeper Jim Taylor. 🥅

Anna from House of Travel Ferrymead spent 2 weeks travelling around Italy and shares her memories from her time on the Amalfi Coast. “The food and wine in Italy are out of this world and I can't wait to go back! One of my favourites was Rada Restaurant in Positano and you must try the local wines!” says Anna 🍝 🍷

Anna loved the stunning coastline of the Amalfi Coast with its dramatic cliffs, fishing villages and breathtaking views of the sparkling Mediterranean. But it was her stay in the iconic town of Positano that truly stole Anna's heart with its pastel-coloured buildings and unique Italian charm.

Anna recommends, “The beaches are amazing, for a quieter escape head to Fornillo Beach, just a 10-minute walk from the more crowded Spiaggia Grande.” And “Take a boat to the stunning island of Capri, explore its winding streets and the blue grotto – its simply incredible!” 🏖️

🍋 Her top tip - You must try the limoncello - it’s great with dessert! Can highly recommend the panna cotta at Chez Black.
