Recently we had an awesome tour around Fiordland and Queenstown Lakes area. A new addition to the itinerary was visiting Amanda and Mark who are practicing regenerative agriculture and one of only two certified farms in New Zealand! They farm in an extremely fragile and important ecological area so we also had Chrissy from and explain all of the awesome things going on in the area for the protection of our Taonga species. We contributed to the establishment of a new trap line for predator control and are looking forward to hearing the results of this over time. A real highlight for us and some good ol' kiwi hospitality to boot!

Yellow-eyed Penguins spotted on our Penguins and Peninsula Tour heading home after a good day's fishing. It's getting closer to breeding season and one of these penguins decided it was time to start hauling nesting material towards the nest site. Cuuuute!

Here's a neat little addition to our City and Wildlife Tour and Conservation Matters Tour species list.

now has a wee spot for moko kākāriki / jewelled gecko and with a bit of luck and a well trained eye we might just be able to show you this taonga of the New Zealand animal kingdom.

The one pictured is most likely a male of the Otago subspecies due to its striped colour pattern as opposed to a 'jewelled' pattern more common with the female. Either way, tough to spot in a forest of green!
