Wow!

This morning we received a letter in the post all the way from Swansea in Wales. It was from Peter Davidson who visited our slice of paradise all the way back in 1971!

After what sounds like the quintessential trip around the coast (sleeping in barns and then at the old jail when it was a camp ground) Peter took these brochures home as a memento of his time in Tairāwhiti.

After all these years he's decided to return his beloved brochures to bring a smile to a few dials and provide a flash back of how we looked 50 years ago.

Well Peter, I assure you that you've done just that. Your letter and brochures have been the talk of the office today - thank you so much!

We're definitely popping something in the post to send back as a thank you.

Cruise ship season is upon us

Today our isite whānau were lucky enough to head out to Wrights Vineyard & Winery for a wine tasting with the amazing Alice.

Their world famous Wrights Reserve Organic Chardonnay was to die for and their Pinot Rosé? I don’t think there’s words to describe how good it tasted.

Their entire range is organic and their whānau do everything from growing grapes right to making the wine all on site.

If you’d like to see what all the talk is about, the cellar door is open Tuesday and Thursday from 12 to 4pm and from 11am to 5pm on Saturdays.

As a special treat, this Saturday from 11am to 5pm there will be TWO bands performing back to back - admission? It’s just $10
