Happy 100th birthday MV Takitimu! 🎂💯

16/01/2022

THIS Saturday at 10am Eastland Port is putting on a special water display for the iconic MV Takitimu's 100th birthday!

Our Waimata and Titirangi tugs along with our two pilot boats, Reremoana and Turanganui will meet out in the bay and lead the Takitimu into the turning basin where there will be a public water display using water cannons to make a large arch for the Takitimu to pass under.

The best viewing spots will be:
👀 The Cut on Awapuni Road
👀 From the side of Titirangi/Kaitil Hill.

It’s sure to be an entertaining spectacle for the whole family so come on down and celebrate with us this Saturday, January 22nd!
