Sutherland Falls putting on a show for us 🚁

Sutherland Falls, located in Fiordland National Park, New Zealand, is one of the country's most breathtaking natural wonders. Cascading 580 meters (1,904 feet) in three stunning tiers, it is one of the tallest waterfalls in the world.

Farewell to an Icon 🚁 ITM

Since its arrival at Heli Glenorchy on June 20, 2015, this helicopter has been the pride of our fleet. The newest addition back then, it quickly became our go-to for all things adventure and thrill—from scenic flights to heli-skiing and commercial work, ITM has done it all.

Its unique paint job made it a standout in the sky and a crowd favourite, especially among the kiddos. ITM has been a top choice and has taken us on epic journeys.

As we hand over ITM to its new owners, we want to take a moment to say goodbye and thank you for all the extraordinary adventures. You’ll be missed 🏔🫶

Heli Glenorchy is a small, family owned company offering scenic helicopter ﬂights from Glenorchy Airﬁeld. With a genuine connection to the area, our friendly local pilots and small specialised ﬂeet allow us to create personalised and authentic ‘once in a lifetime’ heli-adventures.

Departing from Glenorchy the ‘Gateway to Paradise’, we have some of New Zealand’s most spectacular scenery at our doorstep. Within 15-minutes flying time you can discover breathtaking fiords, waterfalls and glaciers, soar high above the world-famous Milford Sound or touch down for a snow landing experience with breathtaking panoramic views of the Dart River and Lake Wakatipu.

The 45-minute drive to Glenorchy is an experience in itself and is named as “one of the most beautiful drives in New Zealand”.
