Events We are uniquely different.

Our antique store is set in a large barn on a working farm in Gordonton, just north of Hamilton. We stock all sorts of antiques, including furniture, silver, porcelain and designer objects of desire. We have a vast selection of designer fabrics, including Designers Guild and Bakers, and offer a full interior design service. On top of all this, we offer regular Cooking Demonstrations and events, fe

aturing international cuisine styles, taking place in our cottage, which is brimming with antiques and art for you to enjoy. We also offer the ability for groups to visit, with either morning or afternoon tea, to view the barn, have a tour of the cottage and wander around the large garden, visiting our menagerie of very friendly goats, pigs, chickens and unusual Indian Running Ducks,
We also offer small group tours to France, and France, Spain and Portugal. Travelling with no more than 7 other people visiting great tourist sites, and places off the beaten tourist track.

Oh so happy with what I have achieved.
Walls painted in Porters Paints of course, which in my opinion are the very best quality, in Bay Leaf and French Green, with Dulux Maungaweka on the floors.
Blinds in the Living Area and Drapes in the Kitchen area are in a beautiful Vintage Linen, bought at auction for an unbelievably reasonable price, beautifully made by Janice at House of Stitches in Hamilton.
Now on to my bedroom, which will be the next big reveal. Give me another week please🤣.

I don’t like having a moan on my lovely page, but I can’t help but share 2 things that have totally blown me away as far as food costs are concerned this Christmas time.
We know about the increased cost of living, however this week I visited a Berry Farm in the King Country. 750 gm Strawberries $20.00! 750 gm Raspberries $35.00! Really????
I‘m paying $10.00 for 750 gm Strawberries here near me.
Also, I am providing the Turkey for our family lunch on Christmas Day. I decided I wanted a fresh turkey, as I had one last year and was very happy with it. I duly ordered same from my local supermarket. Today I checked that they did have my turkey and to confirm collection on Monday. $200.00!!! for a 7kg fresh turkey. Last year $140.00. The frozen equivalent $100.00. Guess what, I walked away with the frozen.
A question, when will we stop accepting this?? In France I’m sure they would riot😂.

I took a very long overdue day out yesterday (I needed it), and I do apologise if you came out and found me closed. Not something I do very often, if ever.
