"Stirling Falls"
Milford Sound is spectacular, of that there is no doubt. Rain or shine, sunrise or sunset, first visit or fiftieth, it never fails to mesmerise.
From the moment you come out through Homer's tunnel, the sheer scale and grandeur grabs your heart. massively high sheer cliff faces surround you. "In through the Devil's Gate", was how it first seemed to me during a severe thunderstorm back in the 90's. So much to capture the eye and the heart here but for me the challenge has always been Stirling Falls.

Every day, every hour is different, the power of the water cascading down, the patterns in the water, all of it consumes me, fascinates the photographer in me. It is a challenge thrown down by to me by Mother Nature or maybe by Poseidon himself.
One day it will be perfect, one day it will be done, but not yet.

Helluva way for 2023 to end with me in my favourite location on the last day of a busy busy crossroads of a year. I couldn't ask for 2023 to bow out with a more glorious golden Maniototo sunset, and yes it was this vibrant. Not a breath of wind and a clear sky allowing the sun to sink low low low into the valley, its last warming glow, setting fire to the grasslands at Home Hills Run under the shade of the Hawkdun Range near Wedderburn.

WE'VE ADDED ANOTHER TOUR TO TUSCANY IN MAY 2024
My May 2024 Tuscany tour has been so popular we've had to offer another ten day tour from May 4th to 14th which now only has two places left.
Land cost for 2024 is $7500 per person with no single supplement and including pick up and return from Rome airport.
AND NOW SEPTEMBER 2025
In 2025 we'll be heading back to Tuacany's Val D'Orcia but this time we are going in the Autumn. for ten wonderful fun filled days of photography, great wine, great food and of course great company.
