I’m going to be honest and say Houston was an ‘interesting’ city… not much going on and hard to find a central pulse.

If you are stopping in Houston it really only requires a two night max stay to see the NASA Space centre and have a quick look around the city.

I can highly recommend the NASA VIP behind the scenes tour for an up close look at ‘all things space’ including visiting the original Mission Control centre for the first ever moon landing mission.

We also got to view the modern day ‘Mission Control Centre and see the current International Space Station crew in action! Including the two astronauts who have been stuck in space for almost 5 months… when it was only meant to be an 8 day mission.

Next up is the original tour, the one where it all started for my business Her Tribe Travels. ❤️

A Taste of India, departing March 2025!

I have to say I have a soft spot for this one. India is quite possibly the top of the list for my most favourite destination of all time.

Nothing quite prepares you for India. A heady mix of colour, chaos and culture. Moments that take your breath away!

This will be my fourth visit to India and every time there is that exciting anticipation of discovering something new. There is never a dull moment.

On this tour we discover the city of Delhi, such a contrast of old meets new! Where we explore gardens, ancient stepwells and laneways.

We visit the largest testament to love, the incredibly beautiful Taj Mahal.

We spend two full days in Ranthambore National Park… on the elusive search for tigers by day…. enjoying fireside chats and wines by night back at our safari lodge.

And finally we conclude our tour in Jaipur. Fondly known as the pink city for its pretty buildings painted with pink coloured hues. Our days are filled with temples, forts, palaces and of course the colourful, carefree experience of the Holi festival! The festival of colour that marks the beginning of spring in India. 🌸🌼🌸

Hi ladies! Hope you are all having a great weekend. With winter weather well and truly entrenching itself… it’s the perfect time to be thinking about an escape to somewhere bright and fun!

Just a reminder that I have a couple of tours that you may be interested in for late 2024 and early 2025.

First up is Mexico! I’ve always been intrigued by the ‘day of the dead’ festival that takes place in early November each year.

It’s a beautiful festival that runs for a week with parades, fiestas and elaborate alters built to honour loved ones who have passed. We experience all of this in the small UNESCO town of San Miguel de Allende… for a truly authentic taste of Mexico… think quaint, cobbled streets adorned with colour, local life spilling out onto the town squares.

We combine this once in a lifetime experience with the buzz of the culture capital Mexico City (Frida Kahlo, art, Mayan ruins, hot air ballooning and incredible foodie experiences) and then finish up on the stunning Baja coast where we will enjoy cooking, flora and perfumery with a side of shopping, art, sailing and relaxation! This is a truly special itinerary that I am so proud of. ❤️

Seems so relevant to share this list of 25 best mother / daughter trips around the world. 👯‍♀️

I’m at Auckland Airport about to board for a mother / daughter trip with my eldest to Sydney to celebrate her turning sweet 16! 🥰🌎✈️

I was super lucky to have been able to use my airpoints for this trip and one I took in February to take my middle daughter… also to Sydney for her birthday.

As the girls are getting older, its not about presents anymore but about experiencing new things together, having one on one time and making memories to last a lifetime.

I feel so grateful everyday for my three girls who have caught the travel bug as much as their mama.

I thought I better show my face as it feels like forever since I have posted on my Her Tribe Travels Instagram and Facebook accounts.

Its probably fair to say that I have been hibernating from my own business. With all this ‘Covid-19’ stuff going on I just haven’t been feeling the love for Her Tribe Travels. The world is closed so why bother? Terrible to say out loud I know... but I also know I am not alone in that feeling in the travel industry (or probably many other industries).
🙌
I launched HTT in November 2019 after 20 years in the travel industry and the previous five years running my own conference, incentive, events and leisure travel company.
🙌
My previous business grew into something far bigger and more successful than I had ever dreamed of. I had hoped for the same with HTT.
🙌
But alas... Covid 19 had other plans and I only had the chance to get one hosted women’s tour away to India before the world came to a crashing halt and so did my business.
🙌
I guess the reason I am posting this is that everyday I think about my business, my passion for travel and my desire to connect women through their love of travel. So I know I am far from done with this business and I need to gain momentum again.

I am going to make a promise to myself that this business will make it even though its actually really tough right now.

I will continue to dream big and continue to focus on developing an amazing set of experiences for women who love to travel!
