Two days ago Nick and Kylie used our vintage (1928) Limousine as their wedding car. Then yesterday, Nick wrote this review about their experience with Hudson Hire ...

If the immaculate car wasn't enough, then the in keeping props for our guests to use, the photos you take, print and then physically drop off the next day was next level!! Yesterday was a day with a difference and one that will be remembered for a long time. This year's Auckland International Airport Christmas event had a 1920's Great Gatsby theme and to enhance this it hired a vintage car from us. Lots of the several hundred guests enjoyed having their photos taken in and about our 1928 Hudson Limousine! Hopefully they'll post some of these here. Thank you AIA for a great afternoon! Thanks also to Paul Wilson Towing who did a superb job of trucking the vintage car to/from this event

Had a great night last night. Marina had a 1920's theme for her 40++ birthday so she and Dave (hubby) hired one of our vintage cars and props for guests to have photos with. Emma (daughter) came with me and took close to 100 different photos for them on her good DSLR camera. Here's just a few. Perhaps Marina might post some more.

Thank you Nadia & James for hiring our vintage (1929) Limousine for their wedding yesterday at Barcu Restaurant in Bombay. Such a beautiful venue and helpful staff. Thanks also to Yasin Bhamji of Koru Towing who did an excellent job at trucking said Limousine from Hamilton to Bombay before this wedding then back afterwards.

Daughter Emma and I had lots of fun today showing couples at Woodlands Estate (Wedding Open Day) the two cars vintage (Hudson) cars we had on display there. They suit this beautiful historical venue so well. Most couples agreed some suggesting that that was one of the reasons they'll hire them 😀

Yesterday Emma my daughter and I really enjoyed showing our Vintage (1929) Hudson car to the students of Fairfield Primary School and discussing with some of them how it is different to a modern car. So thank you Fairfield Primary for inviting us to your great school ... and for the lovely Christmas decoration (photo 5)

Being very old, our vintage cars really suit historic venues like Woodlands. Why not come and see this for yourself? ... at this Sunday's "Forever I Do Wedding Festival" on at Woodlands 10am to 6pm. For we'll have two of our vintage cars there. There will be lots of other first class wedding service providers there too.

Debbie McGregor has just sent a notification saying "We hired the 1928 Hudson Limousine for my son's wedding, Brett was really great, nothing was too much trouble (even though we changed some plans via text on the day), Brett was more than willing to accommodate. Glenda van de Ven-long has just posted "A fantastic professional service from beginning to end... efficient and prompt replies to my initial inquiry, easy booking procedure and on my daughter's wedding day (7-1-17) the car arrived in plenty of time to pick her and the bridesmaids up. The driver stayed after the ceremony and waited for the photographer to take photos. Guests were able to view and sit in the car and when the driver left the venue she tooted the horn which added a nice touch to the day. The car was beautifully cleaned and the little extra props such as a mirror and flower arrangements in the car looked lovely. Thank you, I would definitely recommend you to others.

It’s today that Tarnia Ehu and her two boys leave Hamilton to go back to Napier to live. Shelley Campbell, a good friend of hers …. and one of my drivers text me during the week “Can we take them for a surprise ride in one of the Hudsons before they go?”
“Sure we can (for free)” I text back “What about Saturday after the mornings wedding car hire?”
"Yeh, that'll be cool"
And so that’s what happened. Tarnia I’m glad you enjoyed your surprise and all the complimentary photos Shelley and I took for you. And Shelley, thanks for coming up with this plan, it was fun being part of it.

Last Saturday parents Grant and Shona Johnston hired our biggest vintage Limousine to deliver their daughter (Alannah) her three maids and flower girl to her wedding at The Red Barn. Later Shona posted this notification here ...

I really enjoyed delivering Danielle, her mother (Robyn) father (Stretch) and two maids in our vintage (1929) Limousine to her wedding at Gails of Tamahere on 22nd November.

The following day Robyn wrote this …. “Had the most fantastic day on Saturday when Danielle and Kelvin Sayers got married. Having the car and Brett as the driver was a big part of it. We laughed all the way out to the venue. It was so relaxing and fun. Brett took some amazing photos and they were ready by 11am the very next day. Despite the showers lots of people attended today's Waikato Wedding Expo held at the Hamilton Gardens. We (Hudson Hire) had three of our five vintage cars there and we spent most of the day talking to people about our cars, service, rates etc. We even managed to take these photos of some of these people .....

I usually enjoy taking older men out in my vintage cars. For they have usually grown up with them and can therefore tell me a thing or two about them. Ted was no exception. The first thing he did was look under the bonnet to make sure all was in order! Dennise, thank you for hiring our vintage Limousine to take you & Tom and your parents Ted & Joyce to Ted's 80th birthday luncheon .... at a surprise location. Ted didn't know where he was going until we arrived at The Boat Shed at Karapiro some 40 minutes after leaving base. We kept him guessing all the way!

Being made in the late 1920's our cars are over 80 years old. So most, if not all of the people who we've driven about in them have been younger than the cars. That changed today! I had the priviledge of driving Maria along with her daughter & her hubbie and their three children i.e Maria's grand children to and back from Maria's 90th birthday luncheon @ Viligrads. We were able to have a good chat going there since she chose to sit in the front. What a delight! Good luck in getting to 100 Maria, you're almost there.

Summer or the ‘wedding season” is now over for another year and autumn’s here. The last few months have been a very busy and rewarding time for us at Hudson Hire. Our vintage cars were hired often. We also received lots of excellent feedback about our service. For example, Scott and Debra who hired our cars on 4 April have just sent us a personalised thank you card saying …

Unbeknown to Dorothy, who turned 85 on Wednesday, her daughter hired me and our beautiful 1928 Hudson Limousine to transfer them and family & friends from Summerset Retirement Village to The Foundation at The Base for an 85th birthday lunch. There was lots of laughter on the trip. And Dorothy loved the surprise!. Susanne, many thanks for this fun hire.
