Introducing Kelsey Tills, Travel Specialist

Favourite thing about the job? Being allowed to think, talk, dream and research travel stuff all day long. Sharing in a customer’s excitement, and then living through their travels when they come home and tell me all about it!

Favourite place you’ve travelled? Hard to pick a favourite as each place has it’s own qualities and character. Places I’ve loved have been:
1) Albania for the unexplored aspect, incredible culture, and breathtaking coastline. I’ve never seen water so clear.
2) Sri Lanka for the diversity of the landscape, the kindness of the people and the food. Sri Lanka has amazing surf, diving and hiking, so much to do!
3) United Kingdom, growing up on Famous Five books and Harry Potter instilled a love of the UK in me that I’ll never shake. Will never get used to being able to walk into a pub that’s been operating since 1200.

TOP TIP for travellers: Change your watch to the time in your destination as soon as you board the plane, I swear on it for beating jetlag. And always book travel insurance, you might never need it but the one day you do you’ll thank your lucky stars it’s there.

Next place you’d like to visit? South Korea and Taiwan. Whichever one I can get to first! Although there’s also Kenya, and Tibet, and Lord Howe Island, and Jamaica, and Ireland, and Brazil annnnd…..

I have just come back from my first trip to Vietnam and am already planning to go back – it is an amazing place. Before then my favourites were Scotland and Italy…so different to each other yet they stand out for different reasons.

😃 TOP TIP for travellers:
Check any unexpected flight transits. Sometimes they don’t appear on your ticket or even boarding pass but if you have bought duty-free alcohol or even perfume it could be taken off you before you can continue on. This is not a nice way to begin or end a trip.

I would like to head to Japan, somewhere I am yet to experience.

Heads up! Starting 8 January 2025, New Zealand passport holders heading to the UK visa-free will need to complete an Electronic Travel Authorisation (ETA) before flying. This is mandatory for all New Zealanders, in addition to any other visas you may need (e.g., working visa).

🗓️ You can apply for your ETA now, starting 27 November 2024! Get ahead of the game and tick this off your travel checklist.

The UK ETA costs 10GBP per person and takes about 3 working days to process.

As 2024 wraps up, we’re reflecting on an incredible year filled with adventures, milestones, and memories!

A huge THANK YOU to all our amazing customers for your support. We’ve loved crafting unforgettable holidays for you and your families! A special shoutout to everyone who joined our 40th Birthday celebrations and competitions—it was so much fun meeting you and giving away fantastic prizes.

This year, our team has:

🌍✈️ Planning a UK holiday in 2025? 🇬🇧
