Enrolments are now open for Term 1 2024!! Lessons for boys and girls aged 3 - 16 years old held in Flagstaff & Rototuna, Hamilton. At Jitterbugs every term the kids get to go on stage and perform in a show! Cost is $125 and includes an outfit/top for the show, video's to practice to at home, certificate and lollipop and lots of fun. Great for your child's confidence, co-ordination and great way to meet new friends.

I know money can be tight this time of year so if you need to pay a $25 deposit and the balance by the end of January that is totally fine. Cost for the term is $125, or $240 for a family of two (or if your child wants to do two sessions).

Just a reminder that our Monday sessions have their final lesson today. The kids can dress up in Xmas theme if they want to. It will be a fun session where they will get their certificate and friends and family can join in the group dance. I can't wait to see all the kids! Don't forget your outfit/shirt if you didn't return it yesterday at the show.

If anyone is thinking about joining up and wanted to come watch/join in a session today would be a great chance - especially for the Mini's session. Message me for more info.

Super amazing effort at the show this evening!!! I am so proud of all our Jitterbugs who got up on stage for the show. It is not easy getting up on stage and dancing in front of an audience, especially at a new venue! Well done👏.

A huge thankyou to Nanette from NCP Images for taking photo's in both sessions at the show. I will have these for you by the end of the week - these are a highlight to see every term. Feel free to share your own photos below while we wait for Nanette's.
Thanks also to Kelly, Ryan and family for helping to setup and others who helped setup and pack all the chairs away.

Paige says a HUGE thanks to all those lolly bags and Bliss balls to support her Europe trip next year. We sold out of lollies and exciting her Waikato team came second at the indoor hockey tournament in Levin.

Just a reminder there are still lessons tomorrow for our Monday sessions, but our Tuesday/Wednesday sessions have finished for the term. Fees are due Wednesday 13th December to lock in your spot for Term 1. If you haven't completed the re-enrolment form I will be in touch in the next few days.

It's Showtime!!! I'm SUPER excited to see how our Jitterbugs go on stage today!

Just a few reminders:
* Don't forget your $5 entry per family.
* Remember the change in venue - Rototuna Primary School.
* If you want to purchase lollies or bliss balls remember some extra cash.
* Don't forget a change of clothing for your Jitterbug as they need to leave their shirt/outfit behind (unless they are in the Monday sessions they can bring it tomorrow).
* It might be quite warm in the hall so dress appropriately.
* Please don't eat chips or anything that is going to cause a big mess as we have to do the cleaning after we have used it.
* Make sure your Jitterbug has had a few practices before coming along today.
* If you haven't let me know if you are re-enrolling for Term 1 2024 if you can let me know by 8.00pm tonight that would be great.
* If your Jitterbug can no longer make the show please let me know ASAP.
* Nanette from NCP images will be there taking photos of your amazing Jitterbug!

Main points:
* It is dress rehearsals this week at lessons. Bring your Jitterbugs in what they will be wearing for the show
* Tuesday/Wednesday sessions will be receiving their certificates and candy canes and friends and family can join in the group dance

Super excited to announce we have 7 Jitterbugs receiving awards this term!!

Congratulations to the following Jitterbugs who are receiving awards this term. These girls will all be presented with their awards at the show on Sunday 10th December.

A special mention to Alyssa who has achieved 8 years attendance at Jitterbugs!!! Alyssa is the third ever Jitterbug to reach this milestone. What an amazing achievement, commitment and dedication 💝

Hope you have all had a great weekend.

I have sent you all an email this evening with details on about shirt hire + re-enrolments. Those currently enrolled get first choice of sessions, then on the 11th December the remaining spaces will be offered to those on the waitlist.

This week all Jitterbugs will receive their shirts/outfits for the show. Our Tuesday and Wednesday sessions will also get to be the teacher in the middle (some of our Jitterbugs favourite part of the term!)

After a lot of phone calls and a few visits to venues over the last few days I may have found us something suitable for the show. Fairfield College are 99% sure we can use their venue on Sunday 10th and will confirm on Monday. It is very old school with a high stage - something a bit different and exciting for the kids! I may also have a backup option if that falls through too. I will confirm everything Monday - but 99% sure it will stay on this date. Hall is currently setup for exams.

Unfortunately today I found out that we cannot use RJHS for the show on the 10th December as they have had to move their year 10 formal to the 11th and need to decorate the hall from Friday onwards. This now means I am scrambling trying to find a venue for our show. If you have any contacts for venues that might be suitable can you let me know so I can check them out - I am currently investigating a few and will look into a few more tomorrow. The stage needs to be big enough for the kids to dance on.

Worst case contingency is we will need to move the show to the 3rd December, but I know it is a super busy time of year and lots of you will already have plans on that date so trying to avoid this if possible.

Cracker day of dance! I even pulled out the bigger stickers today 💖

All 3 sessions are going really well with their dances and we got to the end of two more dances today 👏 Kids are exited to see their finishes which we will add on next week.

Group dance is progressing well too - highlight was seeing Franscesa from our junior session nail the lights move, which no one else has got this week yet! Maybe a few more will get it tomorrow 🤞
