This a reminder; due to the Matariki public holiday this Friday 28th June, Mrs Sharp Mobile Sharpening Service will not be parked outside The Toolshed Hastings.

I am outside Hunting & Fishing Napier on Taradale Road today (Thursday 27th) until around 12pm.

Will be outside The Toolshed again next Friday 5th July.

Hi all!

Wishing everyone a safe and happy festive season. A big thank you to all clients for your custom over the last year.

I am taking a couple of weeks off over Christmas and New Year, and will be returning to work on the 9th January.

Mrs Sharp will not be at her depot in Hastings this Friday the 25th March. We are going to celebrate out grandsons first birthday. Very much looking forward to giving him a big cuddle!

I’ll be taking a few weeks off after Xmas, returning back to work on the 10th January. Gardening, reading and detoxing after Xmas are on the list! May 2022 bring you all happiness, health and the ability to tick off at least one new year’s resolution 😄

Mrs Sharp is allowed out and about again starting this Thursday 14th May. It was devastating to my ego to find out I was not an essential service!
I will be parked in my usual spots - in Napier Thursday mornings 8am till noon outside Hunting and Fishing and in Hastings Friday mornings 8am till noon outside The Toolshed.

Under level 4 Mrs Sharp has had to shut down and will remain closed under level 3 also. I am hopeful that under level 2 I will be allowed out of my bubble to begin trading again. My heart goes out to all those adversely effected by the shutdown.

The hunt is over! I would like to announce that Hunting and Fishing in Prebensen Drive is my new Napier depot. I will be parked outside every Thursday morning from 8am till noon. Come and see me or drop items off at any stage during the week and they will be sharped on a Thursday morning.

Mrs Sharp is still operating as normal in Hastings, Napier and CHB but will no longer be attending the Farmers Markets. I wish to thank “Grandma Sharp” for all her help and support over the past few years and also the Farmers Market. Its an outstanding event and showcases the very best in Hawkes Bay produce.

A shame to see a lovely knife with such damage - mostly caused by putting it in the dishwasher. The heat from the dishwasher can soften the edge and the high water pressure will dull the cutting edge by knocking it against the rack and other objects (some dishwashers heat up more than others – and some powders are more corrosive than others).

Items can be dropped off at my depots at any time:
Napier: Palmers Garden Centre or Total Food Equipment (sharpened Thursdays)
Hastings: The Toolshed (sharpened Fridays)
Waipukurau: Dave Hern Fishing and Shooting Outfitters
