ts by camping in RV parks at the venue. Tour host and organiser Wayne Palleson has been attending international motorsport events for more than twenty five years. He has vast experience with national and international customer events over many years. Wayne has accumulated a wide range of contacts from his involvement in motorsport including a stint working in Europe during the 80's. Coming up this year we have four tours:
- The first one in early May is to Talladega for the Nascar Sprint Cup series
- In late May we will be attending the Indianapolis 500
- Pikes Peak Hill Climb in late June
- Bonneville Speek Week in mid August, including a round trip starting and finishing in Las Vegas, visiting the Grand Canyon and Hoover Dam along the way. For full information on these tour packages check out the website below.

April Newsletter

Hi there,

Well, it seems like we might finally be getting back to some sort of normal. The demise of MIQ, Vaccine Passes, and most mandates are a definite step in the right direction, but that’s enough of that, let’s talk motorsport!!!!

Scott McLaughlin has impressed everyone with the start he has had to this year’s Indycar championship. Wow, to take pole and win at St Pete, and then qualify on the front row and narrowly get beaten at Texas Motor Speedway is absolutely fantastic. He sits comfortably at the top of the points standings. Scott Dixon has had two top 10 finishes and sits 6th in the standings at present. This weekend they go to Long Beach and Scott Dixon always goes good there and no doubt Scott McLaughlin will be aiming to keep his run going.

In Supercars, Shane van Gisbergen has started out in similar fashion to last year with five wins from six races. It’s hard to imagine anyone troubling him for the championship again this year. He also had a fantastic run in the Australian rally championship to finish 2nd overall in the first round at Canberra. From the Saturday onwards he was never out of the top four stage times and went on to win the power stage and take maximum points from that. He certainly has the ability to hop in any type of machine and extract the maximum out of it.

Formula 1 has thrown up a couple of surprises with the performances of the Ferraris and Mercedes teams. It is great to see the red cars back at the front and Mercedes will get to the bottom of their woes. This weekend they will be back in Melbourne with a revised track layout. Let’s hope for another exciting race like the first two.

Liam Lawson has had a fantastic start to the Formula 2 season with 3 podiums out of 4 races. Pity the team let him down in the other race as he was also positioned nicely for another podium finish.

There has also been plenty of good close racing action on the local scene with the Toyota TR86’s turning on some real close racing along with the Super GT series.

Iconic Tours:
With the opening up of our borders, we are taking a tour to the Bathurst 1000 this year. The tour starts on Tuesday 4th October flying into Sydney. After a night in Sydney we will pick up motorhomes and drive through to Bathurst where we spend the next five days parked up at the circuit close to all the action. Grandstand seats and paddock passes are included in the package. On the Monday we will travel back to Sydney and drop off the motorhomes, having another night in Sydney prior to flying home on the Tuesday. You can extend your stay in Australia and holiday a bit longer if you so wish. We already have a good number booked on this tour, so if you are interested let me know and we’ll send through the itinerary.

Today we were treated to an awesome Xfinity race at Pocono Raceway. Cole Custer led most of the way but got passed by Tyler Reddick, with new tyres after a late restart. On worn tyres Cole Custer fought back and passed Reddick as they came through the last turn. A great result!!!!

Barber Vintage Museum at Barber Motorsport Park is just incredible!!!! There are 1500 motorbikes on display and they also have the largest collection of Lotus cars in the world.
