Meet North Taranaki farmer Andrew Slater, a former Taranaki provincial rugby captain who runs a 570-cow dairy farm on 180 hectares near Bell Block, New Plymouth. 🏉👨‍🌾🐄

Before deciding on the best milking and automation systems for his farm Andrew spent 12 months conducting extensive research to find the best fit.👨🏻‍💻

Andrew says “It’s a big investment so you need to make sure you are aligning yourself with the right system, and the right company.” 🤝

Andrew had a clear plan in his mind in terms of the functionality he wanted from a new rotary milking system, and the key automation technology that would reduce labour - and singled out SmartD-TECT as the most important component for his specific requirements. ✅📈

A tale of how he has persevered and advice on how you can also gain resilience and confidence through developing ways in which to deal with the mental and physical challenges of life on the land.

We’re open tomorrow till 4:30 pm, so pop in to grab one for yourself or a loved one or perhaps tag someone below who still needs ideas of what to get that last person on their list.

In between wrangling the Okeechobee wildlife, the crew swear they’ve been putting in the hard yards and they’ve sent proof - the almost completed Waikato Milking Systems 54-point Centrus Composite Platform is ready for Moa to assist the Emory Walker Co. team with installing the milking plant.
