55 Years after John Pay founded Sono Sound Systems as a home business, his two sons Robert and David now continue to expand the business. Thanks to John's efforts, the company has built a strong client base and is now Southland's premier Sound and AV company. ound Systems will do it! We are able to provide; sound systems, projectors and screens, video cameras, video switching equipment, lighting, laptops, AC distro and the list goes on...

We can handle events from 1 person to 15,000 people, so no matter what size your event, don't hesitate to contact us to discuss your requirements. This is a business you have to be passionate about - when the public take their leave, there is still work to be done - and Robert and David and their team work very long irregular hours to ensure every event they work with, is a success. Just a few of the events they have experience with include; The Burt Munro Challenge Racing and entertainment sites, Super 15 Rugby, Speedway Racing, local and regional conferences for businesses and clubs, School music festivals and theatre productions, weddings and funerals, international Acts and many music concerts and events in Invercargill and the greater Southland region.

Yesterday marked a huge milestone being 20 years since a young Chris Herman joined the Sono Sound Systems team. Coming from the ranks at Cue TV, Chris had a keen interest in all things AV related. Chris has proven to be the employee every business wants to have on their team with full dedication to customers needs and helping take each event to the next level. From early beginnings in 2004 learning the ropes to current day running full scale systems it has been a journey and a half.
Thank you for all your efforts over the last 20 years, we look forward to the next 20 as we kick things into the next gear and take up more exciting challenges to keep you busy.

SBS Bank Tour of Southland starts Sunday 3 November to Saturday 9 November.
And once again the guys at Sono Sound Systems Ltd are preparing the official vehicles with sound systems, sound equipment & signage for the start & finish lines and providing a stage truck for finish line presentations at the completion of the Tour of Southland 2024.
Sono Sound Systems Ltd will look after and manage the sound system setups for the duration of the Tour of Southland.
