We extend our deepest condolences to the residents, families, and communities grappling with the devastating impact of the wildfires that have been raging through the Los Angeles area for the past six days. We acknowledge the immense loss they are enduring, from the destruction of homes and loss of lives, as they continue the brutal fight against these dangerous and destructive fires. Our thoughts are with all those affected during this difficult time.

Last week we held our annual training with Coastguard Kaikoura 🛟

It’s always beneficial to practice different rescue scenarios and techniques and we are happy to report it was a very fun and successful evening 🎉

A big thank you to our local volunteers from Dolphin Encounter Kaikoura, EcoZip Flying Fox Adventures, Flo & Co. Cafe, Dusky Lodge - The Backpacker Group and of course the Coast Guard volunteers, without you the training evening wouldn’t be possible 😀

Wait for it.. WOW!! 🐋 Yesterday we encountered the first Humpback Whale of the season and what a special day it was! The whale spent most of the day in the bay lunge feeding on krill, something even our guides hadn’t seen before 🙌🐋 📍Kaikōura Kayaks, New Zealand
