Since 2013, Abel Tasman Sea Shuttles has proudly contributed over $45,000 'in kind' by subsidising water taxi transport, empowering schools and students to carry out vital conservation work in the Abel Tasman National Park! 🌱🌳

Together with Kaiteriteri Kayaks, we're passionate supporters of Project Janszoon - a remarkable initiative dedicated to restoring and preserving Abel Tasman's rich wildlife for everyone to enjoy. 🦜🌺

Project Janszoon is a privately funded trust, launched in 2012 by the generous Neal and Annette Plowman, who later founded the $100 million philanthropic NEXT Foundation. This unique partnership with the Department of Conservation (DOC) marks a groundbreaking effort to transform the Abel Tasman National Park over 30 years.

In collaboration with iwi, DOC, and the community-led Abel Tasman Birdsong Trust, we're reversing ecological decline by eradicating pests and weeds, revitalising native bird and bush populations, and fostering a culture of care for this stunning natural treasure. 🌿
