Did you know you can recycle your used Nespresso coffee pods in store here at BeeNZ?
Simply bring in your used pods & empty them in to our recycling box. Once the box is full, we then send the box to Nespresso's specialist recycling plant based in South Auckland. There, the aluminium is separated from the residual coffee. The coffee is sent to an industrial composting facility to be transformed into compost, while the aluminium is recycled and sent back to the aluminium industry to produce new aluminium products. 🌱☕

We can't believe November is already over! Our bees are busy (both insect and human) wrapping everything up for the end of the year.

November saw an array of exciting events and activities for the team...

- Julie & Jenny headed across the world to the WABEL Grocery Summit, hosted in Budapest, Hungary!
- The team in the office began the Christmas decorating early and are slowly turning into Santa's Grotto 🎅
- For our wellbeing activity this month we had a wonderful masseuse at work and each staff member was treated to a 30 minute massage, needless to say everyone was very relaxed for the rest of the day! 💆

It's the last push for the team to get honey out the door & onto the seas and in to the skies for our international customers. 🍯

The months seem to be flying by and September was no exception! The team had an action packed month...
- Julie and Jenny traveled to Taiwan for the 10th Anniversary of the ANZTEC celebration and met up with our Taiwanese distributor. They also headed to Korea to scout out some exciting opportunities.
- We purchased our very own defibrillator to have on site here at BeeNZ for emergency situations.
- Troy and Andy were busy with giving our staff lunch room a refresh by adding an outdoor seating area, and giving the building a fresh coat of paint. We can't wait for some warmer, sunnier days to be able to use our new space!
- We also upgraded our office printer that was manufactured with sustainability in mind, our new printer –
• Reduces energy consumption.
• Reduces paper consumption by digitalising workflows through scanning
• Is manufactured from 50% post consumer recycled plastic
• Plastic packaging reduced by 54%

We look forward to what October has in store! 🌞

What do you get when you have a packaging by product that can't be recycled and a fantastic local engineering business?
You get our new drum crusher digger attachment!

We had hundreds of empty honey drums that couldn't be recycled due to their size. Our co-founder/owner, David, and the awesome team at Mural Town Engineering Ltd - MTEL created this attachment to crush our steel drums in to discs, that could then be recycled by a local steel recycling company. ♻️

The month of June flew on by and all of a sudden we've over half way through 2023!
🐝 Our wellbeing activity this month was a visit to our friends at Good Buzz for a tour of their amazing factory. The team learnt all about the scoby, brewing process and even got to taste their delicious range of kombuchas! A huge thanks to the Good Buzz team for taking the time to show us around.
🐝 David & Julie, our co-founders and owners, ventured to Italy & met up with our awesome Italian distributor, Jacopo. They were shown around the beautiful countryside of Carpaneto Piacentino and David was lucky enough to check out some Italian beehives. 🇮🇹
🐝 We received our custom shipment of umbrellas from fellow New Zealand company & B Corp Blunt Umbrellas. They are definitely going to come in handy with this wet winter weather we're experiencing at the moment. Thanks Blunt! ☔
