• Have a cultural performance to share (dance, music, storytelling, or more);

Katikati Matariki was a celebration of culture, reflection, and renewal, honoring the Māori New Year through storytelling, tradition and community connection. This special event brought people together to share knowledge and embrace and strengthen our ties to the land and each other.

A huge thanks to Katch Katikati Inc, Western Bay Museum, Project Parore, Tamawhariua Health & Social Services, Te Rereatukahia Marae, Katikati Community Centre, Rotary Club of Katikati, Katikati Red Cross and many dedicated individuals who helped create a meaningful and memorable experience for all in our community.

Thank you to everyone who came along to our first Business Breakfast ☕🥐 of the year! Guest speaker Barb of Kings Seeds shared their inspirational story of buying the business over 20 years ago and their journey since; including the huge demands for seed during Covid times, through to putting a succession plan in place and stepping back from the business. She offered lots of insights to other business owners around growth including technology, social media and business support.

The family business is based here in Katikati and owned by Barbara and Gerard Martin for over 20 years. They have grown the business to be a household name throughout New Zealand and are a key supporter of the local Katikati community.
Come along and learn about the Kings Seed’s success story, and the succession plans that enable Barbara and Gerard to progress into their retirement.

About the movie: Thelma Post is a 93-year-old grandmother who loses $10,000 to a con artist on the phone. With help from a friend and his motorized scooter, she soon embarks on a treacherous journey across Los Angeles to reclaim what was taken from her.
