🌼 Happy Holidays 2023 🌼
This year’s Christmas Day, we walked the entire Tekapo Mt John Walkway for the first time 🚶🏻♀️🎄👣 starting from the lakeshore and finishing through the forest, it took us about 3 hours to complete this 8.9km “advanced” (according to DOC) walking track 🏞️ we had to climb up and down quite a few steep hills, often walking into a headwind… but the view on the way was simply breathtaking — definitely felt rewarded for our efforts 😇✨

Welcome to TEKAPO NOCTURNE, a modern, unique and charming 3-bedroom holiday home. The name 'Nocturne' means 'a musical composition or a painting that is evocative of the night', taking inspiration from the world-renowned starry night sky of Tekapo, as well as the owners’ love for music and art.
Architecturally designed by one of the owners, Tekapo Nocturne offers excellent lake and mountain views in the open-plan Living/Dining/Kitchen areas. The Kitchen is bright, contemporary and well-equipped. Large sliding doors from the main living areas lead to the outdoor seating area where you can enjoy the sunny weather that is typical of Tekapo. All the rooms have been thoughtfully designed and tastefully decorated. There are three elegant and cosy Bedrooms (2x Queen & 1x Twin), two clean and comfortable Bathrooms and an additional Toilet, making this holiday home ideal for families and friends to stay.
On-site car parking (carport), Wi-Fi internet, Laundry (washing machine & dryer) are all FREE of charge. The house is equipped with air conditioning and heat transfer system to ensure the right room temperature is kept. Flat-screen TV with Freeview channels, linens, towels, shower gel, shampoo, hairdryer, slippers, kitchenware, sugar, salt, tea and coffee are all provided.
