✈️ Could You Soon Be Able To Use Your Phone On A Plane?

Vodafone has just announced in-flight roaming, which will allow customers to switch off airplane mode and use their phone on selected airlines.

Once the plane reaches cruising altitude, travellers will be able to connect to a network that’ll allow them to use mobile data, send messages and even make or receive phone calls! The service is set to cost around $5 per day.

⭐ The Aussie Cities Making A Big Impression

Aussie cities are making a big impression on a global stage, with Tasmania & Brisbane making the cut for the New York Times’ ‘52 Places to Visit In 2024’ list.

Tasmania, which came in at No. 29 was recognised for its rich indigenous culture, abundance of nature and fantastic dining options. Brisbane (No.39) was praised for its ongoing facelift with a special mention of the Queen’s Wharf expansion project.

😍 A Big Week For Perth

It has been a big week for Perth with TWO big announcements for more flights coming to the state. Thai Airways’ non-stop flights from Perth to Bangkok are set to return in March. Meanwhile, South African Airways has announced that they will be returning to the Western Australian capital in April with flights to Johannesburg recommencing.

Important Information

The New Zealand Government has made the following updates to the New Zealand Traveller Declaration (NZTD).

Effective Tuesday 22nd August 2023 – ALL New Zealand airports can now process passengers who have completed a digital New Zealand Traveller Declaration (NZTD) instead of a paper arrival card
Paper arrival cards will continue to be available and are still accepted for passengers who choose to complete a paper arrival card.
NZTD aims to digitize Border processes, and enable more efficient processing of passengers at the NZ Border
All passengers, including children and infants, require their own NZTD (mirroring existing paper arrival cards which are required for every individual)

The New Zealand Traveller Declaration collects travel, customs, immigration and biosecurity information. It aims to improve the safety and security of New Zealand. It is available for travellers arriving into New Zealand's international airports.

As there are multiple sailings and stateroom options, we are also asking that you advise a 1st and 2nd option, we will endeavour to book your 1st option but if this is unavailable, we will book your 2nd option if available.

This is a once in a lifetime opportunity and we are asking for all customers who wish to pre-register for the cruise to pay a deposit of $300 pp. This deposit does not secure a cabin, however if successful the deposit will come off the balance owing, and any deposits will be refunded in full if we are unable to secure a booking.

Last year I laughed at the thought of a suitcase plastered with my headshot. This year, as tales of lost bags soar the concept may actually have merit.

However among other concerns—the photo I’d want on the suitcase versus the state of me after a long haul-flight could confuse people at baggage claim 😂.
