One of the most inspired luxury visits I had whilst on my travels in South Africa was at the Mount Nelson Belmond Hotel in Cape Town.

Whilst visiting this beautiful pink resort (built in 1899), we enjoyed time by the pool and the most magnificent food in the restaurant, while listening to live jazz on Jazz Sunday. It is an oasis of calm and old-world charm within a vibrant city. I could have stayed here for weeks!

Rove Culture - Travel By Rebecca Kent has just been on a South African Mega Lekka trip hosted by Viva Expeditions, which was outstanding! They stayed in 5-star accommodation the whole trip, experienced the cities, wineries, game reserves, and the South Africa Tourism conference. Rebecca also extended her trip and went to Kruger National Park and Sabi Sands Private Game Reserve. The highlight of the trip for Rebecca was the animals of course! She didn't expect to see such high density of animals. But also, the African culture as there is a real passion, a beating heart to it, and it was infectious. Rebecca recommends that you make time to visit Cape Town. It's a really vibrant city with heaps to offer. There is an arty vibe, great coffee, the wine region, the waterfront, beaches, shopping, excellent food - basically it has it all. 😍🗺️

Just up the road from Grant’s Mum’s house is the magnificent Bamburgh Castle, perched majestically on the Northumberland coast, it is a site steeped in history and legend.

Originally a Celtic fort, the Normans built the first castle here in the 11th century. Its strategic location overlooking the North Sea made it a key defensive stronghold throughout the Middle Ages.

The castle underwent several restorations, notably in the Victorian era, transforming it into the stunning landmark we see today. Famous for its imposing structure and picturesque surroundings, Bamburgh Castle also features in folklore and literature. It's not just a historical monument but a cultural icon, attracting visitors worldwide.

Bamburgh Castle has been a royal stronghold, a family home, and even briefly used as a hospital.

Well worth the visit!

When sticky situations arise I have the ability to help my clients.

Does that mean I have been able to help a client with an emergency at 2am when they are on the other side of the world? Yes, it does.

One common problem is misplacing or even having your passport stolen.

In case of this here is what you need to do. 👇🏻

1: Don't panic. Take a deep breath.

2: Report your lost or stolen passport to the local police station. This will help stop anyone else from using it.

3: Contact whoever issued your passport (such as your embassy, high commission, or consular) to tell them it is lost or stolen, and ask them for a new one. They might ask you for a copy of the police report you filled out.
