20 Years of The Lord of the Rings

Today marks 20 years since the first instalment of Sir Peter Jackson’s adaptation of J.R.R. Tolkien’s The Lord of the Rings Trilogy when The Fellowship of the Ring first premiered on the world stage at Odeon Leicester Square in London on 10 December 2001. It was also the the debut of New Zealand as the fictional world of Middle-earth, and a certain sheep and beef farm just outside Matamata as Hobbiton, home of the Hobbits. We're very excited to be celebrating this milestone for the Trilogy with the sold out The Lord of the Rings 20 Year Anniversary Celebration tonight, welcoming fans for a 4k screening of The Fellowship of the Ring on the Party Field.
