On the 25th of September 2024 we lost one of our guides, Brett Evans, in an avalanche in the Arrowsmith mountains.

Brett was a much loved member of our team and will be sorely missed. His infectious enthusiasm for skiing and being in the mountains was felt by everyone who had met him.

It been a week of bad weather but a good week for snow in the Southern Alps. We have had 2.5 meters of new snow at higher elevations and are looking good for September. Wednesday is the first fine day for a while and we still have spaces?

While the ski areas have opened with limited snow the recent snowfalls have benefited the central southern alps. The central Arrowsmiths have had 40cm in the past week and the current weather system looks even better for snow!
We open July first!
