Good News!

As of this week, passengers travelling on international flights from Auckland Airport can now keep laptops 💻 and liquids* 💦 in their carry-on bags during security screening, thanks to Computer Tomography (CT) scanning machines.

Hopefully this means faster processing and a more efficient and better travel experience!

*The volume of liquids, aerosols and gels, carried by travellers on an international flight still applies, and should be carried in individual containers of 100ml or less, with the total number of containers that are 100ml or less must not exceed one litre.

Natasha took her friends and gorgeous little family to Slipper Island for their first secluded island experience thanks to Cadbury.

Here is what she had to share with us at

"A massive thanks to Cadbury. I'd never have gone to Slipper Island if we hadn't won the trip and it was fantastic. Such great weather we loved swimming this early in the year with the kids, having the Island to ourselves was amazing, and having our best friends along was just the icing on the cake. Alec was the best!! We also had a really fab time in Auckland.

All in all we're just so grateful. And the timing ended up being perfect as it was a week off between jobs for me.

Thank you so much for all your help getting us organised, you are a star..."

What a year… It’s only taken us a couple of months to post our first post for 2023 but better late than never!

Travel has been off to a flying start (pun intended) and we are so lucky to have enthusiastic travellers who are inspired to travel the world again.

In light of the terrible weather we have had in NZ lately, with lives lost and homes destroyed, it’s important to still remember how lucky we are to call New Zealand home.

Sending lots of love to everyone affected by all this flooding and the crazy wild winds.

One of our favourite international celebrations is Mexico’s The Day of the Dead (around 1-2 November) 💀 🇲🇽 which involved paying respect and remembering those family and friends who have died

“The hosts at the accommodation were super lovely, and made our stay very memorable. Additionally, each morning in the dining room, we enjoyed getting to know some of the other guests as the hosts prepared a beautiful breakfast.

Our most adventurous activity was the bicycle ride on Sunday. The days following we explored Akaroa and its local historic spots, as well as the surrounding Bays which were nice and relaxing.

I've attached a couple of photos of our trip. The first one is of us at Okains Bay Beach. The second in Akaroa as we were about to start our bicycle ride, and the last one is of me checking out an old-school library in Okains Bay.
