Moeraki Fishing Charters OPEN Terms and Conditions

Due to venturing in the open sea, half and full day charters are not suitable for children under the age of five years old.

Children 5-12 years old need to be supervised by an adult and must always wear a life jacket. General:

1. The cost is $190 for a weekday and $210 in the weekend per person. Children 12 and under are $180. This includes all gear provided, bait, fish taken off hooks, a bite to eat and fish filleted and cleaned once back on the wharf.

2. A current New Zealand Maritime licensed Skipper will assist

you and ensure you have a safe and enjoyable experience on your Moeraki Fishing Charters.

3. The Skipper on your Moeraki Fishing Charters has total authority on the vessel and any decision made by the Skipper overrides any prior agreement.

4. The Minimum number of passengers to make a charter is 5. We take up to 15 passengers.

5. The Skipper will provide a safety brief (as required by MOSS) onboard prior to departure. Our primary concern is safety; therefore, customers must comply with any instructions from our Skipper, immediately, without argument.

6. Moeraki Fishing Charters will not be responsible for the damage or loss of any items or valuables brought onboard the vessel by customers.

7. By reserving your charter, you accept the risk and dangers associated with charter and open sea fishing and release Moeraki Fishing Charters, and its employees, of liability from any injury or death associated with such risk.

8. There is a toilet onboard.

9. Charters go for 4-6 hours at the skipper’s discretion. Reservations and Cancellations:

1. All reservations must be booked.

2. All charters must be paid in full prior to departure or prior arrangements must be made with the Skipper of Moeraki Fishing Charters.

3. A 30% deposit must be paid to reserve your charter if you are booking the full boat. Upon booking your charter an invoice will be sent to you via email on request.

4. Payments (deposits and remaining balance) can be paid via internet banking or in cash.

5. Moeraki Fishing Charters take bookings via email, website or by phone.

6. Moeraki Fishing Charters will provide a refund (less our transaction and administration fee) for cancellations made more than 48 hours prior to your charter.

7. If your fishing charter cannot be rescheduled and is cancelled by Moeraki Fishing Charters, due to inclement weather, you will get a full refund.

8. We reserve the right to charge up to 100% for bookings cancelled within 24 hours or for no-shows at the skipper’s discretion. Moeraki Fishing Charters require proof if cancelling due to Covid.

9. Gift Cards are not eligible for refunds or cash equivalent exchanges. Privacy:

1. All personal contact details obtained from customers are used only for the expressed purposes of an Moeraki Fishing Charters booking. Moeraki Fishing Charters does not sell, distribute or release customers contact details to third parties. Website Policy:

1. Moeraki Fishing Charters Ltd may take picture of charters, for marketing purposes. If customers do not wish to have their pictures taken, they may advise the Skipper, prior or during the charter.

2. The content of the pages of this website is for your general information use only and it is subject to change without notice.

3. This website contains material which is owned by or licensed by Moeraki Fishing Charters. This material includes but is not limited to, appearances, graphic, layout, design, font and images. Reproduction is prohibited other than in accordance with the copyright notice, which forms part of these terms and conditions.

We love making momeries for the youth to share with there fathers ,mothers and loved ones , It's 100% why we go to work and why we love our job , Infact it's always been about the smiles memories and passion for this is the reason we even have a charter buisness .
From even son growing up and taking there old man out for a fish you can always see there momeries come back to life and it fills the air with a great energy of happiness.

So because of this we would like to give away a father & son fishing experience aboard the "Aari " for a full days fishing charter including everything you need .
