Their time in Anaheim was a contrast of colours, focusing on more family-oriented activities. “The kids enjoyed the excitement of Disneyland,” exploring theme parks, rides, and indulging in the rich array of dining and shopping options.

🏖️ Relaxation in Hawaii
The trip extended to Hawaii, and Paula and her family enjoyed some well-deserved relaxation on the iconic beaches of Waikiki. A perfect balance of relaxation and fun.

Back in the USA, Liz has been checking out Westchester and Dutchess Counties in the Hudson Valley area north of New York City. Those that love history, scenery, delicious food and wineries and breweries will love this area.

A couple of highlights from this part of the trip shown in the photos:
- CIA - Culinary Institute of America - an absolute MUST DO for food lovers.
- The Franklin D. Roosevelt Presidential Library and Museum
- Walkway over the Hudson in Poughkeepsie

Fun Fact - for the beer lovers - Dutchess County has an excellent array of craft beer breweries scattered throughout the area. There are also a great range of cideries, distilleries and wineries.

***ON THE SPOT WITH HOT*** 💜
Courtney and Alyssa's last hoorah in Bali took them from North Bali back toward the South. They stopped along the way to chat with some roadside monkeys, checked out Gitgit Waterfall, had lunch at Ulun Danu Beratan Temple and enjoyed a chocolate factory tour! Then they went on to their last stop in Bali which was Sanur - a seaside town in the south east with a long stretch of beach and shallow waters. Its a great spot, has all the markets like Kuta, beachfront restaurants and loungers like Seminyak (not as many), and is quieter and a slower pace than the other touristy beaches.

To sum up the trip Courtney said, 'I felt like I got to experience the REAL Bali! After moving away from the beaches in the south, I got to see the true natural beauty and culture that Bali has to offer that I just didn't really know about. It was fascinating and stunning and I would definitely go back for a holiday!'

While 2 of our girls experience Bali, we have Liz from our Crossing store over in the USA, compliments of Qantas, exploring the State of New York!

After travelling over in Qantas Airways' beautiful Dreamliner, Liz got to New York City's JFK Airport and spent the night at TWA - the amazing airport hotel.

Then it was off to Long Island where the group explored OHEKA Castle - a historic hotel in Huntington where French chateau elegance meets rich American history. Back in the day it hosted Gatsby style parties and visited by many star studded celebrities, like Charlie Chapman. For the T Swift fans, this is the castle from the scene in her 'Blank Space' music video.

Amazing food and picturesque views at Prime: An American Kitchen & Bar, a beautiful boathouse style restaurant at Huntington Harbour.

Then it was off for a stay in Port Jefferson, a beautiful historic seaside town on the North Shore of Long Island. (About an hours drive to the Hamptons).

Our girls in Bali are making us very jealous with their photos and experiences!

Their Intrepid tour took them to Menjangan Island which is within Bali's National Park. Menjangan means 'deer' and its namesake are everywhere - even relaxing on the beach.

The girls went snorkelling off a boat and saw hundreds and hundreds of bright, colourful fish. Clown fish, angel fish, bright blue starfish, rainbow fish and so many others. The coral was stunning and the water so warm and crystal clear. There were very few other boats around and so you feel like you have the whole ocean and island to yourself to explore.

Alyssas summary of the day, ' I have been left speechless! 10/10 experience!'
Courtneys summary of the day, 'Absolutely unreal experience!! I can't wait to come back to this spot!.'

Where in the world are our Hotties this week?? Our girls Courtney and Alyssa, from our Crossing and Rotorua stores, are currently in Bali having a blast.

They have spent time in Kuta, Legion and Seminyak and have now jumped on a tour for 9 days with Intrepid to experience even more of what 'Beautiful Bali' has to offer. This itinerary has been action packed with seeing stunning rice fields, cycling through the Balinese countryside, experiencing real local culture, eating traditional Bali cuisine, staying with a local family, climbing Mt Batuer (at 3am!), white water rafting in Ubuds longest river (during a thunderstorm) and of course joining in with the evening entertainment and having a good karaoke session.

Courtneys comment so far 'It is just so amazing and there is so much more to Bali than markets and beach clubs!'

It is a city that hold its own - with beautiful parks, gardens and trees everywhere you look, amazing bars and restaurants, great shopping spots, and awesome activities like luging, rollercoasters, waterslides and exciting night life.

Here are some of Kerris Highlights!
1) Sentosa Island - perfect for travelling with families. Easy walk from hotel to beach, lots of bars and restaurants, every activity imaginable, shopping, beach clubs and even a lightshow that screens at 7.40pm and 8.40pm every night down at the beach.
2) Gardens by the Bay - this is a free activity as the outdoor park is open to the public. Temperature controlled Cloud Forest and Flower Dome (Flower Dome is like Hamilton Gardens on steroids).
3) Lau Pa Sat - must visit for a taste of local food and street market atmosphere. Try the local satay, fried chicken or delicious curry for only $5-$10.
4) Singapore Sling at Raffles - did you even visit Singapore if you didn't stop at Raffles for a Singapore Sling (amazing gin based cocktail)
5) Shopping at Orchard Road - every shop you can think of has a store here whether on the main street or inside one of the many shopping malls.
6) Ce La Vie - If you don't want to wait in the line for the observation deck at Marina Bay Sands then pop up to Ce La Vie the rooftop bar to enjoy a cold drink instead. Entry is $30SGD per person and is redeemable against food and beverages.

HOT TIP - If you haven't had enough shopping by the time you leave, head to the Jewel at Changi Airport - you can take your suitcase with you and load up before you fly. You can even take a ride through the middle on the Skytrain that runs between Terminal 2 and 3.
